What is the 3 Step method?

I am new to this site and have type 3A curly hair with type 3B curly sides. My hair is frizzy all the time if I do not straighten it. I usually wear it back. Nothing works on my hair to make it not frizzy. I use gel/mouse/hairspray (never at the same time) and once it dries it is a frizzy mess. Does anybody have any advice. My hair is halfway down my back, course, and very dry. I suffer from dry scalp. When I used to straighten my hair, I could go days w/o washing it because it doesn't hardly produce ANY oil. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I strongly suggest reading all of that and trying out the routine.
It will explain a lot to you on taking care of curly hair, and tons of curlys are succesful on this routine, or a modified version of it.

Good Luck!

I am going today to get a good, moisturizing conditioner - was thinking Aussie Deeep Moisturizing Conditioner cuz I've heard good reviews on it. I also need to get a spray bottle to carry leave in conditioner in it w/ me.

I hopefully will receive better results tomorrow! thanks again for your help!

Just have one question tho, when is the best time to apply hair gel - when hair is soak and wet or a little dry? Please let me know. Thanks!
Hello!

Good job getting started on the CG method! Generally from everything I've ever read, it's best to put on gel at the hair's wettest state! This way it doesn't frizz up as it slowly drys, it will stay gelled as it dries. Some people even turn the shower off with their head down and their hair down, then immediately scrunch in their gel.

Good Luck!
