Default products for larger, looser curls?

I'm looking for gels or cremes that will help me achieve looser and bigger curls.. I'm trying to achieve a more wavy and less spiral look. Thanks!

I've been using plain Aloe Vera gel, and I like the way it gives me softer, looser curls. I'm using the generic Target brand b/c it doesn't have any alcohol in it. Regular, stronger hold gels give me too much curl, and it ends up falling by the end of the day.

Does it hold up to the weather though? I think I remember the AVG not having enough hold back when I used to use it.

Huh, I don't think I've been out in bad weather to find out. Or maybe since I go all of from running errands to straight home, I haven't noticed.
