I haven't had a professional cut in six years! PICTURES!
I am so scared to!
I have never had a successful professional cut in my life. In fact, I usually come out crying!
But, I think I desperately need one now. I have been trimming it myself, but I just feel like my hair has no style and layers are all crazy.
And I'm scared!!!!
I was all set to make an appointment at Devachen, but they are closed on Mondays, which was my only day available, and then I thought, "Is that a sign that I'm not supposed to get a hair cut?"
So, for anybody's who has been there...
If I go to Devachen, will they be understanding and not go, "WTH have you done to your hair???"
And if I don't want much length cut off, but just want layers sorted out and stuff, will that be able to be done?
I'm nervous!!!!!
Thanks!

Good luck! From what I hear, they are very good at listening at Devachan, so I suggest telling them up front your fears.
Believe me, there's lots of us out here envious that we don't have the option of a curly cut where we live. The closest for me (Richmond VA) would be about a 4 hour drive and with gas at almost $2.90/gallon, an expensive trek for just a cut.

Brio - I'm not sure how 'eastern' Eastern NC is, but I just went to a brand new salon in Charlotte last week, opened by a woman who trained at Devachan.
Joyfully Curly - east side of Charlotte
Honestly, the day I left I wasn't *overwhelmed* with happiness. Mainly because of the cuts she made after my hair had been washed (no-poo) and dried - the ends just didn't look right. But I am happier and happier each time I wash it, especially after using my regular products. On her website she claims to be the only Deva trained stylist in NC.

I had my appointment last weekend!
I understand all the hype now! That place is AWESOME!
Julie cut my hair. She is extremely nice and understanding. I asked for not much length to be taken off, and that I just wanted some shape and layers.
I am very happy with my hair! Nobody has been like, "OMG YOU CUT YOUR HAIR!" but I have gotten lots of compliments in general. Even my brother-in-law!
I've only ever used ArcAngell, but came home with a bunch of new products to play with! I LOVE Set it Free!

I'm just about as eastern as you can get -- go too much further and you'll run into the Atlantic Ocean!
I did check out her website, though, if only to dream of a curly cut .. . .

This was the best I could do right now!
It has no product in it, except for some One C.

Thank you so much!
Looking at the pictures, I realize that it is still quite long and she really DIDN'T take any length off! They really do listen!
