New Deva Travel Kit & DVD
Here's a link to the new travel kit out by DevaCurl. It includes the DVD...the travel sizes are 3 oz. Mostly I like the cute picture on the website!

I ordered this. I don't really recommend the DVD. Although it's cute and the curls look great it's not exactly brimming with information. If I had never been to Devachan and never been on this site all I would have learned was to stop using shampoo (which is censor beeped) and that all the products are interchangeable.
For example, there's a shot of Ana squeezing out water with papertowel and her hair is clearly still full of condish, yet there's no mention of that at all--just to get rid of water.
Although it is great to have a mini bottle of SIF and Angell. I usually take my 32 oz OC on any trip with me so a 3 oz bottle does nothing.

That's good to know -- I was so curious as to what is on that darn DVD!

That is a big time bummer. I suggested a dvd to their customer service almost 3 years ago and I have been waiting ever since then. But your review leaves me feeling completely bummed. Maybe the thing to do is next time one of us here on the board goes to Devachan have this person take a friend with them and have that friend videotape the whole Deva experience from beginning to end and then post the video on youtube or something. Heck, I would do it if it was convenient for me to go there but for now Devachan is not in my budget. So, if anybody here wants to do this please do so as I am sure that this would be greatly appriciated.

Ok, with all this talk about the un-spectacular Deva dvd, my question is does anybody have the new Jessicurl dvd and if so what is your honest opinion on it? Thanks.

I wish we could get the travel sizes individually. I'd definitely get a SIF to keep in my purse and maybe a No Poo and One Condition for weekend trips. I certainly don't want to pay $30 for the whole thing though.

You can get these no-leak bottles from The Container Store in several sizes that are something like a buck apiece. I travel a LOT, and I promise you that they really do not leak (unlike many plastic bottles).
There's no need to buy their travel size bottles just to get some small versions of the products. Just lookin' out, ladies; Deva products are fantastic, but they are awfully expensive if you don't buy them in bulk.

I usually get travel bottles at Sally's, and I currently have SIF in my purse in a recycled Jessicurl Awe Inspiralling travel bottle. I just always thought it would be neat to have little miniature Devacurl bottles. I of course would just keep refilling them from full-sized bottles.

I have the Jessicurl DVD and I honestly think that just going to her website gives you just as much, if not more, information than the DVD does. She tells her story (which you can read on her website), she talks about her products (which you can read about on her website), she does one makeover that is done really quick and I feel could give more detailed steps. It was obviously done quite a while ago since her hair is much shorter. There's just one shot where her hair is a little longer. She's really cute and has some great stuff, however, my honest opinion is that the DVD might be great for someone who knows nothing about Jessicurl and doesn't have a computer. Otherwise, her website is great for everything you need to know, other than the fact that you don't get to see her talking about stuff except in her demo videos.

Maybe we can pass it around so we can all see! Media mail is cheap. I'd like to see it, but now I won't waste the money buying it.

They also made a funny joke about the clips increasing reception for radio or cell phones or something but then went on to show only the plastic clips not the metal ones. And no real instruction on how to use those either. Very strange--I would imagine that they are more attentive to detail there. I love it there and will go every opportunity that I can and love the method and products so this really surprised me.
