Default OMG a product free day

So I was in an experimenting mood and trying to take less time in the shower and all. I usually use gel and diffuse my hair.

Last night when I got home from dance class I showered used No Poo and then scrunched in Paul Mitchell The Conditioner and let it air dry.

I then had to sleep on damp hair so I loosely pineappled. My hair looks nice a little fluffier and a little more wavy but pretty solidly 3A. It's sort of beachy.

I'm happy with it! What an exciting discovery!

It takes forever to dry though, omg, how do you guys air dry?! It was still damp in the morning!

My hair is a mix of 2b/3a and even a bit of 3b thrown in! I would call my hair wavycelli. It curls most when I leave it alone after wet scrunching. My hair has a spring factor of about 2 or 3 inches and has a very silky, medium texture.

My hair only takes a couple of hours to dry. The less product I have in it, the faster it dries. If I scrunch my hair w/ a towel, it lifts the hair up around in places so that air can get to it. If you sleep on your hair, especially if it's pulled up, you may still have some wet pieces.

Yay, what an exciting discovery! That's probably a sign that your hair is healthier now if you are almost entirely 3a now without product in it.
I hate going to sleep with wet hair. Not only is my hair still wet in the morning but I usually don't sleep as soundly either. When my hair is soaking wet in the shower I smooth the hair around the index finger of my left hand and then I gently squeeze the extra water out with my right hand. I'll move my hair to the other side and do the same thing. Then I'll scrunch my hair with a paper towel(that's double folded). Then I airdry. Not only does my hair dry faster that way but it also encourages more spiral curls.

Isn't it great how the hair feels product-free? I have a knock-off of PMTC and I like to use it on gel-free days, only leave-in so far I can do that with and sometimes get 2nd day hair. BUT I don't know if it's because it's not the real thing or if results depend on what I had on my hair before because it doesn't always seem to work the same.
