Microfiber Tightwad Towel for $3

I realize that this will only appeal to a certain group of craftier curlies. I made my own microfiber plopping towel by buying 3 microfiber cloths from a dollar store and sewing them together end-to-end which took only 5 minutes. They are available in the cleaning section of the local dollar stores, and are about the size of a washcloth. The finished towel measures roughly 14"x36" which is just long enough to tuck the ends under --a big advantage over the $15 aquis towel which is just too short. Plus at this price I can have a few spares.

Anybody else out there have any curly tightwad tips?
3c fine-textured shoulder-length spirals with layered cut. I Like Pantene relaxed & nat. condish, biolage gelee, and Suave aloe gel. Cutting my own hair these days, and I'm a plopper too!
That is an awesome idea!! My DH sewed a satin pillow case for me, he said the material was only like $3.
I never liked the way the microfiber towel felt the way it sort of sticks to everything including my hands. So I use an old long sleeved mostly-cotton tee-shirt that has a little stretch. Cost: free! Great for plopping, you can wrap/tie the long sleeves around your head.
I have a friend at work who sews and it is so funny that you should post this, because I was talking to her Friday about making me some MF towels. I told her I would bring her my curl-ease and she would see if she could find some comparable fabric to make a towel out of. I'll have to see if I can find these and have her put em together for me (I can't sew to save my life.)
