UPDATE: MOP Products - any thoughts? (Poos and Styling)
I know I just made a post about new mop conditioner samples to try but I'm wondering about the other products.
Anyone used the MOP shampoos or conditioners? It seems that if I use a shampoo that is for 'dry' or 'curly' hair my hair gets overconditioned, so I might be better with a shampoo that is a bit harsher. They have quite a few that look tempting, the lemongrass would be nice if it didnt have a protein. C-system shampoo looks good - can anyone tell me how it is? If I have fine hair prone to overconditioning will it be too rich and weigh it down?
Also - has anyone tried the MOP C-system curl control cream? There are rave reviews for it on their website, the only hardish to remove ingredient is polyquat-11 and it looks like it'd smell lovely! I'm just wondering if since it's a cream whether it will have enough hold....

And it's cone free, so maybe you could learn to love cone-free too pitgirl Hehehe. Although they have a 'glisten' stuff that has cones in it for shine, main ingredient is cyclo cone so I can see how that'd give shine.
I know you can buy all of MOP's stuff in John Lewis too, that's where I plan on buying mine if I decide I like these conditioners. It is pricey tho, £10 a bottle
So yes - speak up all you MOP lovers (or haters!)

The only MOP product I've tried was the C-curl cream styler. It's quite a good styler, but for my hair it's not outstanding enough to be worth the price.

I LOVE Mixed Green Shampoo & Conditioner!
As far as I can tell them are protein & cone-free.
They leave hair supershiny..I almost forgot how much I loved them.
The condish contains a little vinegar of some sort, so it might be good for hair that likes ACV.
I know they are pricey but the bottles are HUGE-300 ml as opposed to normal 250ml ones-so it might be worth it.
The main reason I got them is because I read in some mag that Catherine Zeta Jones uses them

Awesome thanks esme I've found a website that's doing some of their products half-price on clearance but they have no shampoo's left and only really rich conditioenrs. And styling products that aren't on the MOP website so I'm assuming they're d/c and I dont wnat to get hooked on yet another d/c product
Depending on how I like these conditioenrs I might be tempted by the greens shampoo In relation to the phyto i tried how does the greens compare? I think the phyto was too rich for me on every wash use, maybe only when my hair is damaged. I do love it, but my hair is just too fine for it. Do you think greens would be better at cleaning and kinda 'drying it out' to make it curlier without really 'drying it' if you kno what i mean

I was doing a UK search for jessicurl and found a site called www.naturalfrizz.co.uk , they have a trial pack of moptop stuff for curlys. I did find it on ebay, they seem to have s hop going through there. Can't quote the prices but they seemed pretty reasonable. I have tried mixed greens and although it smelled absolutely gorgeous it did nothing fo rme.

IMO the Phyto is for dry hair & the MOP mixed greens is more for normal hair.
I like both of them..I think I'm gonna order some..
What website had them on sale??
I sometimes order from lookfantastic.com, because I dont want to pay double price here.

Ok so I caved and bought the MOP C-system moisturising shampoo. It's sulfate free and smells delliisshhh. The girl in the store said I could bring it back and get a refund if it was absolutely awful and it's expensive stuff. So that was a small consolation.
I have it to try with the C-system moisturising conditioner. I used the lemongrass conditioner for fine hair last night and it seemed ok when I brushed it through but as I rinsed it out my hair got tuggier and tuggier, like huge knots! Not sure why...could be a hidden protein I'm missing? protein has a tendency to tug my hair up once it's been rinsed out.

I've used the MOP System C stuff and the lemongrass line before and I can't say that I was all the impressed with any of them. The ingredients looks good and I liked the feel of the System C products but I found the shampoo to be a bit drying. I did like the Curl Creme for awhile and then it just stopped working for me. I just plain didn't like the lemograss products...they left my hair feeling weird and tangly.

Thanks memes. I'm thinking that the lemongrass, since it's for 'fine hair' is trying to give volume by roughing the hair a bit, and as we're curlies it results in major tangling. i do have a sample so i'll persevere with it. i'm going to try the c-system today.

So I tried the MOP C-system Moistuirisng Shampoo and Conditioner (not hydrating, it's confusing)
The shampoo is sulfate free, and it didn't lather much at all, and didn't leave my hair feeling stripped at all. Not even a bit of squeak. I don't know if this means it hasn't cleaned my hair at ALL it almost felt like it did nothing but if it's removing buildup that gently I'm impressed!
The conditioner...oh my lord I was in heaven! It had a kind of soft waxy texture (good waxy not bad waxy) and I only needed a tiny amount. It spread through my hair beautifuly, and combed out tugs so easily. It left my hair feeling gorgeous with it in. By way of comparison, Jessicurl can sink into my hair so it feels seaweedy but not really 'soft' whilst Aussie 3MM can be quite thick and actually coat my hair and leave it soft because of all the conditioner, but this just sunk in my hair and left it feeling sooo soft, even as i was rinsing it out it stayed smooth and silky and didnt start to tangle at ALL and didnt start to feel less moisturised as the conditioner rinsed out which can sometimes happen.
So I followed up with some Hebal Essences Humidity Defying Gel which I have in a sample, and it's now being plopped. I know its early days to say how well it worked, but I can tell if any curly hair loves moisture then this MOP C-System Moisturising Conditioner is probably going to be your next love
Just to stir up all your inner PJs
