Your haircut looks great. The cut really seems to have pumped up your curl volume.

I don't think it looks like a shag at all.
When I think of a shag I think Florence Henderson in the Brady Bunch. You scared me for a moment.

Brio, i like it a lot! between my short bob and my now long layered hair, my hair was cut very similar to yours. I think it is layered and it may grow out nicely.

I think it looks nice.

I ended up with a extremely layered cut almost 2 months ago. Right now I'm trying to grow it out since the really short layers like to stick out of the side of my head rather than curl and fall nicely.

It doesn't look like a shag at all. Actually, I've had that same cut for many many years. I call it multi-layers. I was growing out the top since I thought it was too short, but at my last cut--a deva cut-- she cut some shorter pieces back in. She said it would help even out the bulk and give some height (no flat top).

It actually sounds like a good haircut, the way the layers puzzle into each other. Like a deva cut! Give it time, I think you'll like it.
