Deep Treatments

Does anyone have any good recommendations? I am having a hard time finding a good one since I started looking at ingredients. What is everybody using?

Do you want a protein treatment? Joico K-Pak Reconstructor is a classic. (I think that unfortunately the generic version from Sally's has been discontinued.) If there's an Ulta near you, the Activate DT is good and not expensive. You might find Hy-Pro-Pac at a beauty supply store -- this one is under $5. Be sure to use a moisturizing conditioner after a protein DT to prevent the protein from making your hair feel rough.

For a moisturizing DT without protein, my favorite is Jessicurl Too Shea -- her actual DT is too much for my hair, but many people love it.
Thanks SuZenGuide, I am going to get the Jessicurl Too Shea then. I was using the Biolage but was not crazy about it. How do you know if your hair needs protein or not? And why does it make it feel rough after a treatment? Kind of confusing to me.
My hands-down favorite DT is Curl Junkie Hibiscus and Banana Deep Fix. I occasionally use it as a daily conditioner as well.

If your hair is just dry, not much damaged, then you don't need the protein.

Too Shea is also a very nice conditioner, so it can do double duty.

My hair is so chemically processed that I started using Nexxus Emergencee, which I am IN LOVE with. It's a protein reconstructor, not a conditioner. You use it to repair damaged hair, and you HAVE to use a moisturizing conditioner on top of it b/c by itself it makes your hair feel very dry, and gross, but afterwards the difference is incredible.

Please excuse any typos. For the time being, we are blaming it on my computer.
My favs are already mentioned Activate DT, Curl Junkie banana DF, and JWDT in the island fantasy scent.
my favorite drugstore moisture treatment (not much to choose from) is the GF 3 minute mask. it does have amodimethicone -but it didnt cause any problems for my picky hair

ETA: I need tons of moisture. I like Steiner's SOS repair and relief deep conditioner.
Kiva! Microfinance works.
