HELP!! Almond oil overload!!!!!!!!

Anyone ever put way too much oil on their hair?? If so, how did you get all of it out? I did an overnight DT last night with some Curl Junkie Banana and Hibiscus Deep Fix and a TOO MUCH sweet almond oil (I was too heavy handed!! )

Today, as I cowashed, my hair still felt stringy, so I did an ACV rinse-- twice. Then I did my hair as usual.

I recently started using Joiwhip and am LOVING the clumpiness and softness it gives me! I used it today, and it didn't feel as clumpy. HELP!!

Right now I am currently airdrying (6 hours!). I don't know if I should see how it comes out when dry or just rewash AGAIN and start over by styling it again in the shower??

What do you guys think?? Anyone ever been through this "hair trauma" before?

Any help would be appreciated!!!! Thanks!!

This has happened to me before and I tried co-washing with a condish made for oily hair. I just scrubbed my scalp a little longer than I would normally and repeated and it worked fine. It is better than resorting to using a poo...which would really yuck things up. But if you have Jess HCC it might work too?
Yikes...HTH. Sorry I don't remember the condish I used if I remember I will post it. I think it was Nature's Gate henna and rainwater but I am not too sure. It doesn't actually say it is for oily hair but is has a "dry" feel to it if you know what I mean?

Sorry to not help, but wasn't it you who did the coconut oil overload last time?

Not sure if this is going to do more than you ACV rinse, but I know in the CG book, LM recommends using lemon juice & co to remove treatments that have oil in them.

3A hair; coloring with henna/indigo since July 2009; normally follow the CG method. Still searching for my HG products!

I tried coconut oil one time & olive oil another & neither would come out with conditioner & not with a non-sulfate shampoo. I didn't try lemons or vinegar so I don't know how those would work. I used a clarifying sulfate shampoo & that worked immediately.
Echokitten--Thank you for your help! I did the co-wash thing and ACV rinse, let it dry. It dried OK, not great, OK.

I then rewet, and did the whole styling proces over. I am longing for the clumpiness I got last time with Joiwhip.

Blush--Yes--you're soo right!!! I just don't learn!!! It's true. I tend to do things in excess too.

Think I'm gonna lay off the oil thingy for awhile!

Thanks for all the helpful replies all!
