Default Do you want volume and hold?

This product gives me both:

I am growing out some pretty short layers and my hair was flat and falling down by late afternoon. This stuff holds my hair all day. I put it on wet hair like a regular gel. I don't use any other product.

that has alcohol in it, so it has a lot of potential to be drying. how long have you been using it?

I'm looking for both of those things and love one of the other Studio line gels but I have to avoid drying alcohols like the plague or my hair freaks.
I'm glad it's working for you. How long have you been using it? Has it dried you out?

I've been using it close to two weeks and my hair is in great condition. I find as long as I use a shampoo with no SLS my hair does fine. I wash and use this gel every day.

It was so weird how I discovered it. I wasn't looking for hair products but someone had put it back in the wrong place and it ended up right in front of my face when I was looking for something else. Since I had already been using LOOB and liked it but wanted more volume I decided to try it and VIOLA! I figure it was meant to be! :P

I use a rinse out conditioner. I also rinse my hair upside down (have been doing that for years), and brush it upside down with a Denman brush after I rinse out the conditioner, (learned about that on one of these forums). I started doing the brushing before I got the gel and I can still tell a difference with using the gel.

Just tried it today. I've been experimenting with a new type of styling so I'm not sure how it would turn out normally but overall I really like this gel. It has good hold and clumping for me. Plus my SO says it makes my hair smell "normal" which I guess means not like Island Fantasy or another one of my "weird" hair products.

I'll have to try this gel with my "normal" styling routine and see how it goes. I usually think it's a good thing if I don't dislike the new gel, because usually I can tell the first time if I don't like it. I'll be trying this gel again, which is a good sign!

The hold is great. I'm sure I would have cut my hair by now if I didn't have this gel. The layers aren't all flat and driving me crazy like they should be.

So I tried this today. It's holding up really well. I had incredibly well defined spirals after plopping. It was a little hard to scrunch out the crunch but I think that was because it wasn't 100% dry when I tried to scrunch it. I have just the smallest amount of canopy frizz going on (I'm outside of Boston, so it's pretty warm here today); I suspect blending this with a bit of Curl Keeper would resolve the frizz. I did make sure to use Re:Coil under it as I always use it (plus I figure it's moisturizing abilitites might help with the dreaded drying alcohol).

Complete routine for those who keep track was water washing, than conditioning with TJ Refresh conditioner, then scrunched in 2 pea sized amounts of Re:Coil, then about a quarter sized dollop of the gel. Plopped for maybe 10-15 minutes, then took it down, sprayed with Shaper Plus Hairspray to keep the curls where I wanted them, then waited for it to dry. Scrunched with hands and then sprayed on a touch more hairspray just to keep it in place. I have fairly short (above the shoulders , just barely below the ears) 3a hair.

I actually have *very* big hair (and I love it!). Problem is that it's very heavy, and gets weighed down easily. This did seem to help it stand up to itself, so to speak.

Yes, I have this same problem. I have a lot of hair, so the volume is there but doesn't always look great. It's either weighed down or poofy. I guess I'm just really frustrated with it!

That's what happens to me a lot. I was really surprised that this gel worked as well as it did for me (we'll see what it does again). I had nicely defined spirals, no poof, a good level of volume (not too much, and definitely not flat), and it stayed.
