JC Confident Coils users

A few months ago I ordered the trial size collection of JC products and didn't get that great results from them, except for the WDT.

I've since figured out that my hair doesn't like glycerin (among other things ) so I'm wanting to give the CC another try since it's the only styler in the collection that doesn't have glycerin in it.
For those of you who use it, do you use it alone, layer it over or under another product, do you use it on dry hair to tame frizz?
Just curious to see what works for others.
Thanks!

I use it under my biolage gelee and it works pretty good for me! . It helps define my curls and i have used it on my hair when its dry and it does help tame some of the lil frizzys.

How were you using it? Alone? i think it probably works best under a stronger holding product.

JC'S RR and CCSS are the only curl enhancers that my hair likes. I have found for some reason that my hair doesn't really take to Gelebration spray. But I use RR and CC together under LaBella Lots o curls gel or alone depending on the situation, but always with a dollop of leave in underneath. My hair is coarse so I use either Too Shea or WDT as a leave in, just a little but though. If I need a lighter leave in I use Aloeba.
I have found for me that the RR does not tame frizz and CCSS is not much better, the difference (for me) is the leave in. and a good non flaking gel. And most of all resisting the urge to touch my hair when it is wet.

I use it over leave in conditioner. For best results, hair has to be sopping wet. HTH

I used to use Aloebe or Too Shea as a leave-in, then RR, then CC without a gel over top-great hold for winter. Recently I've just started getting awesome results-2 times, still a WIP-leave in(TS or Potion 9), RR, CC and a very small amount or BRHG. I was hating the BRHG until I used the CC under it and decreased the amt of the heavier gel-all in soaking wet hair
Thanks for the great tips ladies! The only time I tried it, I used it over RR and got poofy, undefined hair but that was probably because of the glycerin in RR. That's how my hair reacts to glycerin.
I will be trying the CC tomorrow since I don't work (I always save my hair experiments for when I'm off just in case it turns into a totally bad hair day ). I have a lot of hair which needs lots of hold so I will try using it under my mousse which is the only thing that has been working well for me since the temps are warmer.
Another question...how much do you use? I've got a lot of hair that is slightly past shoulder length when wet and dries to about shoulder length.

Just wanted to let everyone know I used the CC today and am loving the results!
I used a small bit of sulfate free shampoo to wash since I wanted to start with a clean slate. I conditioned with my usual condish. Put about 2 nickels worth of the CC in my hair first and then followed with mousse and let it air dry.
My curls look shinier and are definitely more defined because I've got some nice ringlets going on around my ends. The hair around my crown has a lot of damage from a ponytail phase I went through when I was hating my hair but even that looks more defined than usual. I like mousse because of the extra hold it gives me but it also gives me more crunch but the CC seems to make it more of a flexible hold. I also like that the CC has such good ingredients in it which can only help my dry, damaged hair. I might try using a little more tomorrow since I feel like I didn't get it evenly on my hair. Definitely looks promising!
I just hope it works well in the humid months.

yay good for you, its always a good moment when you find a combination that works .

Glad you got it to work for you .

I've found that the RR doesn't work well for me with or without the CCSS. My best combo for the CCSS is to use it over a bit of Aloeba as a leave-in and then Re:coil. I'm also having luck using the new Suave Anti-frizz Cream in place of the Re:coil. Heck of alot cheaper, too!
