Why does your hair always come out best when you are only going to be going to bed? This morning I did my hair using almost all the same products I did this evening, yet my hair looked SO much better tonight!
I hopped in the shower just to cool off this evening, and when I got out, I scrunched some LOTD AVG into wet, combed hair, while upside down, and then I scrunched in some GF Leave in Cream. I let it soak in for a few minutes, and then I scrunced w/ a towel, and let it air dry. When it was dry I just fluffed the roots - and then smoothed a tiny bit of gel over the top to define it.
Anyway, hair looks awesome, and I'm going to bed in a couple of minutes. Doesn't it figure.

Please excuse any typos. For the time being, we are blaming it on my computer.
Yes the dreaded curse of the planned night out. I always get my best curls when I'm staying home, or when I have to work and tie up my hair (nursery school=headlice ) Then when I want to free the springs and flaunt my curls,, they end up looking fuzzy, lank, sticky or stringy! My good hair days are so badly timed!!!
Last year I got my first cut with a new stylist who was fabulous, and diffused my hair SUPER curly. But -- my BF was away for the weekend and he took my camera with him! So not only did I not get to show him, but I couldn't even take a picture.
Oh of course! It always looks great when I have nowhere to go and absolutely no one to see it.
Then when I do have something to look nice for, *poof* one side is all crazy or it's all frizzy or it just won't stay where it's supposed to or it looks stringy. *sigh*
I've also learned that if I'm getting ready to go out and it does look really good, my plans will fall through or it'll start pouring the rain, or we'll have to ride with the windows down.
I know when I don't have to leave the house and have nothing to do, I don't care as much and hardly mess with my hair. Of course, it turns out gorgeous! But when there's something special, I spend way too much time fussing with it and it doesn't look good at all. You'd think I'd get the message!
How bout when you slap your hair up in a sloppy ponytail or whatnot to do housework or something and later you catch yourself in a mirror and you're like, my hair looks so cute! Then when you try to duplicate that look for the public it never looks the same, even looks bad
I wonder if when we try to duplicate the curls to go out in public, we're more self-critical than we are when we're going nowhere?
