Default Pic Whoring with Pineappling

The pineapple came up elsewhere, and it does come up every so often. I took comparison pics and pineappling to compare 1st and second day hair. I thought maybe it would help for those who ask about it.

Here is 1st day hair at the end of the day

Here it is up in the pineapple. It's just a high ponytail in a scrunchie

Here is how it turned out the next morning. You can see that the curl is looser, but not totally pulled out. It's like I was a 3b on day one, and a 3a with curly roots on day two.

I then just put in a headband to help hide the flat spot on top. It's actually this one. in case anyone was interested in seeing the ones from this season. I spritzed some Mist-er Right on it, put on the headband, and that was it.

I need to do this more often than I do. I think my hair would benefit from going for second day hair more often. At least I won't have to fiddle with conditioners and products as much.

Wait, I thought all your hair stayed piled up when you pineapple.

Like a loose bun? Have I misunderstood it? I lose more curl with a bun than a pony though...

When I pineapple, I put my hair higher, like, RIGHT on top of my head, and no bun just all the spider-leg curls bouncing about, like the spikey leaves on top of a pineapple, hence the term! My hair doesn't stay as tidy as yours though, I still have to wet quite a bit the next day.

I've tried higer up because this is how I interpreted it early on. It always seems to slip down for me though. Maybe I just have a heavy ponytail. It'll be fun to see what everyone else does.

I flip my head over and use a satin scrunchie to hold it in place. I have to tie it around twice, if not it slips. HTH
Cute pictures, you have beautiful hair!

You have beautiful hair, I think it looks just as cute the second day as the 1st. I've tried pineappling (sp?), but I haven't gotten it down yet. I think it works better for people with curlier hair. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks ladies!

I flip too! I can't seem to grip it all together when I'm right-side-up.

I hadn't thought of wrapping twice. It may stay higher that way. I use a pretty fat scrunchie and I just put it on without wrapping. It'd probably stay up higher - and more out of the way - if I wrapped it.

Zeldagoblin - thanks for your description. I had wondered why someone called it a pineapple, but your description makes sense. I just kept thinking of "I Dream of Jeannie" when I did mine, lol. With a different hair length, I could now see where the pineapple reference comes from.

And I was thinking it works better for less curly hair because when I've tried it, it pulled out too much curl. I'll have to give it another go if it works so well for RCC. I don't mind if the under layers gets pulled out, but I don't like when the canopy gets pulled out too much.

RCC - you have great hair! Thanks for the pics.

I would be a pic whore too if my first and second day hair looked like that. Seriously, I don't even get that nice of curls on first day hair, let alone second day hair. Your hair is looking great RCC!

Maybe im just biased but in the second picture your hair looks blonde. Could you possibly be a strawberry blonde?

Yeah, I could be right now as I seriously need my roots done. My adult color is a mishmash of blonde, brown, and red. I get more red put in to achieve more "red" red. I'm quite pale, so I like a more vibrant hair color so I don't feel washed out.

The camera flash does make the color look lighter or darker sometimes. The last pic was one day after the first, but the color does look different.

IWCH, with your awesome hair, I'm sure you have great first day hair!

The shine is all camera flash though. It doesn't shine like that IRL or if I don't use a flash in pictures.

I know what you mean, I like the red on you, but I also think you could pull off blonde.
I also need to get my roots done (my natural hair is dark brown...at least I think it is) but the place I go to raised their prices and even though I have the money right now I feel like I should be boycotting them

Why thank you RCC. I still have to say that I don't think it looks as nice as your second day hair in that picture you posted though.
I never knew you touched up your roots. Red looks so natural on you that I always assumed you were a natural red head. Seriously that color looks perfect with your skin/eye color and curls. It's a very natural shade of red. Plus your hair looks so healthy. I'm still getting over the shock that it's not your natural hair color.

RCC,

Your top doesn't look all that flat, but maybe try placing the pineapple at the very top of you head instead of to the back (I'm thinking The King and I here ). Your second day hair looks great....

My favorite movie ever...

I've been working on that - it does help. I guess I like like an excuse for a headband. Thanks!

Yes, the fake red. My colorist does a darn good job. It helps that my Dad is a redhead so he passed on the rest of the coloring. If I had to state my real color, I'd have to go with what my colorist calls it - a level 7 blonde. So, Hair Colored Hair for you Piers Anthony fans.
