Default transforming a leave in

i have two different leave ins that i'm not crazy about. they weren't cheap but i've used them both. they aren't bad but they just don't absorb well and i wouldn't repurchase for my hair. that said, they are not bad, so my question is....can i mix a so-so leave-in with some other good stuff (i.e. olive oil, coconut milk, coconut oil, shea butter, avocado butter, castor oil and/or honey) and transform it into a good deep treatment?

I don't see why not. I've added aloe vera gel and/or honey to DTs to make them more moisturizing.

I do that with regular conditioner, so I don't think doing so with a leave-in would be any different. It works pretty well too.

3B that is no longer CG, but still endeavors to have healthy hair by not using sulfates.
