CurlKeeper & 3B hair

Anyone use JUST CurlKeeper? Or is it best used with a product?
3B
Have had my hair short for almost a year now. No regrets! Still loving it!
From what I understand, CK is normally used with another styling product. I think it's really a frizz fighter and needs to have a styling product over top. I've got 3a hair and there is no way one product would work for me. But, you can always give it a try!
3a/3b~Currently: V05 Kiwi Lime/Tea Therapy Vanilla Mint for co wash, Suave Aloe or V05 Strawberries and Cream for co and leave-in, Burts Bees Super Shiny poo, EMBS, CK, re:coil, B&A/LA Looks Sport

At the women's show a couple of weeks ago, Jonathan put only curl keeper in our hair...but lots of it. You want to put it in wet hair, and put enough ck in until you hear your hair make a squishing noise when scrunching. Then air dry (or diffuse, but wait 5 mins or so before starting)...that's all you need to do. You may scrunch with a t-shirt or a paper towel if you need to afterward, but that's it! Pretty easy!

I'm going to sound like a stalker, but mrfhnl has gorgeous pictures of her hair with just curlkeeper and she's a 3b.
thick 3b; currently loving Devacurl and Kinky-Curly

Thanks! I think I'll try it one day when I have nothing planned. But, since I'll have nothing planned, you KNOW it'll work great! Ain't that always the way?

You can use it along, but like kamagu said, you have to use A LOT of it. Since the stuff is so expensive most of us use a stronger hold gel on top of it.

I have better luck when I only use CK. I will use a tiny bit of another product over my hair when it's dry to scrunch out the crunch, but if I go layering a bunch of products over CK, I end up w/ very producty hair.

I agree that it has to be used on very wet hair, and you need to use several puddles to coat all your hair well, and squish it in.

Please excuse any typos. For the time being, we are blaming it on my computer.
1curlydoc, thank you so much! I just shrieked to my husband that someone was complimenting me on the boards!

I was the queen of CK and Angell on top but for the last few weeks I've been using only CK and getting really great results. I use about 10-12 puddles, one at a time, a section at a time, then comb through and then scrunch to encourage clumpy curls.

I am so glad I stumbled across this stuff 2 years ago--I could never live without it!
