Default Getting hair cut tomorrow...Help!

Hi,

I was told once that longer hair pulls curls out. Is that true? I quite fancy a shorter cut.

Otherwise, I'm going to take a pic that I saw in someones fotki yesterday and try that cut.

It depends on your hair type. I'm a 3a and my hair is getting curlier the longer it gets.

Well the main reason for me getting it shorter is to get rid of some damaged hair that doesn't curl - doesn't do anything. It's horrble.

Not because I particularly want a shorter cut! I hope that makes sense. I think I am 3a with some 3b growing from the back, at the very bottom of my head!

I think it varies but my hair in general has gotten less curly toward the roots now that it is longer but it looks better overall I think because it has nice curls down about halfway toward the bottom to the ends and I am finally rid of that pyramid look

It depends. Everyone has a range at which they will get the most curl. My hair is classically 3A in the sense that it isn't as curly when it's shorter. The ends start spiralling more at a certain point. However, when it's really long, the weight pulls on my roots and makes them flatter and straighter. Regardless of the length, layering helps to minimize that (for me, at least).
