no diffuser for 2 weeks?!

ive tried to let my hair airdry to see if i get the same nice curls as when i diffuse but everytime i try i cant resist to diffuse cuz im scared it will dry crappy. anyway the point of this is that im going on a trip soon and i cant take my blowdrier with me so i have to learn to live without a diffuser for two weeks and deal with my hair ... any suggestions?
You could wimp out (probably my choice!) and take a sock diffuser. I aim to get one soon, they're rubbery I think and apparently fit almost all dryers, even ones in hotels etc.

Of course, it depends where you're staying...
Don't know what my hair type is really!!

Last time I used straightners: Friday 17th May (I'm really trying now!)
I never in a million years thought I would like my hair best when I air dry - because it always looks like it's drying crappy. I've found, however, that the key is definately to wait until it's dry - then scrunch it out. For me, it works pretty much every time and the results are pretty consistent. Now I'm completely opposite - I do everything I can to NOT have to use a blow dryer.

Good luck to you. Hope you have a fun trip!

Have had my hair short for almost a year now. No regrets! Still loving it!
Yeah I would def say try buying the sock diffuser, i got mines from folica.com

Its not made of rubber and I think will fit most hair dryers because it stretches, its made out of a flexible lightweight foam. I've never used a bowl or finger diffuser so I really cant say if your hair will look the same after using the hot sock but its just an option if you dont want to just simply air dry.

HTH!
one day at a time..

My hair never recovers fully from that drowned rat look. Even if I fluff. I have to diffuse at least partially.

I don't know where you're going that you can't take a hair dryer but if it's a hotel you should call and see if they have dryers in the bathroom already. Most that I've stayed at do.

Now if you're going say camping. I'd do without washing as long as possible. Boy if I"m really pushed I can get good hair three days after that initial wash. It takes no leave in or very little and a good strong gel but I can definitely do it.
2c/3a?
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
Advance apologies for guano....

I get up a good 2+ hours before going to work and read the paper, check email, and browse this board. Then I go to work. I can usually scrunch 1 1/2 - 2 hours after arriving at work. Our clients are seen for 1 hour so the only clients who see me with wet head are the 9:00 ones. By the time the 10:00 ones leave, I was able to scrunch so they see the end result (but they honestly probably don't even pay that close of attention to little ole me!). I've worked my current job for 9 years and my co-workers have seen my hair every which way (good, bad, short, etc). They all love my curls (or say they do) and they've also all commented that they like it better the way I'm doing it now. That makes it easier on me. Now if I were to start a new job.....I just don't know what I'd do. I don't think I could do this in front of people who hadn't seen me "before"!

Curlyhead.....I'd love to know how your trip turned out and what you ended up doing.
