Mousse
For those of you who use a mousse, what is your favorite and which one has the strongest hold?

Great- I'm expecting some of this in the mail soon. :-) I'll also be trying out the AG Gel Mousse.

I'm really liking PM Sculpting foam. Doesn't dry my hair out, and I'm left with a soft/moderate-flexible hold. Good curl definition too. I use this over PM the conditioner, and it works really well.

Ditto what eccentric_kurlz said. I was using Joiwhip until recently ( thought I'd try PM for a change) and really like that too. Has more hold for me than the PM.

I like the sexy Hair concept's Power Curl Enhancer. It is a spray on mousse which makes it easy to apply evenly. Gives great curl definition with a light hold. It has one water soluble cone.

Sorry. I have trouble with the darn quote button sometimes (such as now). So I"ll just use good old-fashioned quotation marks.
This is a quote from above....."how much does the PM stuff cost?"
It's around $8.00 for a small can and $17 or so for a large can. The nice thing about PM is that you can find it just about anywhere and often times on sale. I finally found a stylist who can order Joiwhip and am so excited! I just got a message from her that it's in and now I just gotta go pick it up. Darn the holiday weekend......

I like joiwhip. Its texture helps give me more volume than if I use gel. I guess its the fluffy-air-ness about it. But it doesn't dry out my hair and I don't get very frizzy with it ~~jax

I adore the creaminess of Dove's curl and sculpt mousse. I'd say it only has a small to medium amount of hold, though. It's ace under a bit of Suave spray gel. It's my HG mousse and styling product.

I am waiting for a bottle of joiwhip, i hated it last time i used it but think i may have used too much, In the mean time i went out and bought sauves professional volumizing mousse and I am in love with this, it dries crunchy but is easily scrunced out, my hair doesnt have that went look, is actually soft when i scrunch it out and it feels like hair, i am not sure hold wise but since i can lose curl pretty easy i can't complain about this it makes my curls so springy and i get ALOT of corkscrews when I use this!

I, too, really like the Suave Professionals Volumizing Mousse - the one like Paul Mitchell. But it's soooooooooooo hard to find. I'm beginning to think it's discontinued. I didn't like the Matrix version when I tried it BUT that was before this website and new techniques. Now - I may find that I like that one. However, I'm not gonna find out til I satisfy my Joiwhip PJ. I promise.....

I have no idea if the Suave is discontinued or not. It was on their website last time I looked but I can't find it anymore Last time I found it I found ONE can. So if you love it and can stock up - I say go for it.
I finally got in touch with the stylist who has the Joiwhip. She owns a small salon and has sporadic hours. I'm going to get it at lunchtime today unless something happens to change my plans OR it's storming here. It's supposed to at some point today. Fingers crossed....
