Do you like a super strong gel?

Well, I used some yesterday from a sampler & I think I'll stick with the one I've been using for over a year.

The one I tried was Redken styling No. 16 hardwear super strong gel.

It kept my hair in pretty much the place I scrunched it in at. One side was higher than the other & curlier! I swear I felt a little like Cameron Diaz in "Mary". There was no scrunching the crunch once dry!
I do like gel with strong hold! But not thatttt strong that I'll be walking around looking like Cameron Diaz in "There's something about Mary". Although, that's pretty funny i must admit it made me chuckle

Thanks for the heads up about the gel.
one day at a time..
What kind of gel was this? I have never used one that strong.
To answer your question though, I normally don't like strong gels because they tend to pull the curl out of my hair, but I do like the frizz fighting factor that they offer.
But I tend to choose frizz over stringy hair.

I like a strong gel, but I live in Florida ... most regular gels don't have nearly enough holding power to keep my curls in line in very brutal humidity. I don't seem to get a bad "crunch" factor with them ... maybe that's because there is so much moisture in the air down here.

I don't like super strong gels because I like my hair to be soft.

But I never put any product (my usual gel in this instance) in wet hair & I still don't get such crunch.
