How bad is your PJ!?!?

Ok, i've got to confess how bad my product addiction got...

Since Christmas this will be the first month i'm in credit!! I'm so gutted, i really got out of control thinking the next product would solve all my problems and just thinking "sod the expense". I'm now very happily on the road to recovery, i'm using a gentle poo and condish and a styling cream which i can buy from a shop locally (rather than the insane shipping fees i've been paying) and i WILL NOT buy any new products until they're finished (repeat after me). I feel like i let my hair rule my life, i'm so much happier now i have regained control and perspective.

Ah... that was very cathartic!!!!

Next month i'll actually be able to by some much needed clothing and i cannot wait!
I PJ is so bad that I buy products that I KNOW will not work in my hair, but they just sound so nice!

For instance, my hair hates styling creams, but I own two different kinds, one with a cone in it even though I'm on the CG routine.

I have 3 gels that work for me, none of which are anywhere near being used up, but I still feel like I need to buy more! Why?!

I'm making an effort to stop buying products because it makes me feel like I have no self-control .

I call my PJ Magpie. Maggie has the attention span of a gnat, and if a product catches her eye and meets her (admittedly loose) standards, we're out to buy it. Sometimes I can wait her out; if I let her get excited about a product and do nothing, often she forgets about it. Or she just lets me think she's forgotten about it, but actually has rain-checked it, and buys the product 3 months later.

She does listen to reason and lets me be fiscally responsible. And she has a satiation point for hair products -- too many on hand to try (I know this because we are there).

She's not averse to switching her attention to hair accessories. I bought 2 combs this week. I don't need 2 combs. I don't even need 1 comb. But I have a horn comb and a comb from Long Hair Lovers on the way. Her latest little obsession is France Luxe barrettes.

Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
My pj is getting worse i buy stuff "just in case" or because I will need it soon, because i buy all my hair stuff online i worry that when I need it it won't be in stock so i stock up.

Another confession from me:

I just gave 3 products away to my mom and my sister. I could not get these products to work to save my life. I tried them in every method imaginable with no viable results. However, after I gave them away, I felt guilty for not sticking with them until I had finished them on my own.

I also felt like I had left myself vulnerable to running out of products! Giving them away means I only have three gels left in my arsenal, which feels like it's not enough. It's the most ridiculous feeling because I know it's completely unfounded! I'm treating my gels like they are some rare jewels that I got from Ethiopia and not from the Walmart that is a mile away from my house. Not only that, but even if Walmart is running low on inventory, they always have these gels. They are never out of stock! So why am I worried? Because I'm a junkie .

Oh the PJ monster is unstoppable. I come here and when I see anything about a 'new' store product I get this urge to run to the nearest store to find it! There are things that will stop me from buying something though - smell or size. I hate the idea of buying a huge bottle and then not having it work. But, on the other hand, I will not think twice about spending over $10 for a small bottle of something - my PJ is not pratical. I always think the next product is going to be the miracle product but so far that has not happened. Someday.

MY PJ is so bad if you all mention something, i then open up my web browser and go to Makeup alley see what the reviews are....never really listen if they give it 1 lippie or 5, i just know it was mentioned sounds like it may work for me and I will leave my house at 10 at night just to go to walgreens. I found a mousse i am loving, my sister loved my hair and asked me to pick it up for her cause she couldnt find it by her, i then couldnt find it in any of the stores near my house, then it happened i found it in target, bought 2 more, one for me, one for her, Call her, she found it else where so i ssaid fine and kept these 2, I cant fit a flies ass under my sink anymore, my husband just keeps saying I have no room for my stuff? lol

My pj is fiscally responsible - I buy it, if I don't like it, I return it. I will admit to having a pj with expensive taste, too, case in point, I just got suckered into purchasing Ojon's DT for a whopping $55 ( I love it).
Of course, after catching up on all the posts I want to try EMBS (badly).
