No curl?

Hey all, been awhile since I have posted but been reading when I have time . I have also found a routine that is working for me curl wise, I go half the week curly half the week straight lol. Anyway yesterday I cracked my tooth and wasn't going anywhere today till I could see a dentist, I washed my hair, didnt put anything in my hair, didnt diffuse, just left it alone, I have NO curl, more like unruley wave...........and frizz. but yet if I use mousse or gel I am pretty curly, I believe I was told 3A when I first started comming here. If you all don't fuse dont put anything in what is your hair like? is this normal for 3 A hair?......it was pretty weird to see it do NOTHING LOL.

I have not tried no product but I have not diffused and my hair was not curly - more wavy. When I get out of the shower and my hair is wet - it looks like it is stick straight.

I have been thinking about just trying no product because sometimes I feel like I am 'making' my hair curly or curlier - what if it really does not want to be - is that why it's such a struggle to get consistent hair? As you can tell I have put some thought into this but it could be because my hair has been so difficult lately.

See thats what I am not getting I don't work at getting the curl once I have product in my hair, I can even air dry with mousse or gel and I will have curls but when I put nothing in it and just leave it alone there was nothing, i may just have to try again and see what happens lol

If I think back I have not put anything in my hair and it dries fluffy/frizzy. I think the product 'glues' the hair. Since I work from home I can try and let you know what mine does. I have very fine hair and not much of it but for the sake of comparison I will try it - it could be scary.

My hair doesn't look so great with out products. I'm a 3A, and with nothing in my hair it dries sort of fuzzy, lumpy and unattractive.

The thing about our kind of hair is that it's so dependent on what we do to it, what the weather is like, how it's cut, and a million other factors. In the winter, my hair more wavy than curly. I'm always shocked when spring comes and we get a really humid day -- then my hair has corkscrews! I know I'm never going to get consistency, so I try to concentrate on getting my hair somewhat defined, whether it's crazy curly or wavy.

I lose very little curl and gain tons of frizz and crap I don't do anything to 'encourage' more curl - in fact my so called 'scrunching' is actually more like mushing it flat against my head to discourage more curl. Maybe if my hair was longer, I'd want it curlier, but it shortens up so much as it is.
