Can you be sensitive to only certain proteins?? Keratin?

I've been trying to get Joiwhip to work, but my hair is now like straw--really dry feeling. I haven't had this with any other products so far. I'm more of a modified CG, and no issues like this so far. I didn't think I was sensitive to proteins, but this one might have a lot? Any ideas??

Sensitivity to proteins varies hugely. And yes, I have noticed that some people have more problems with keratin than with vegetable proteins like silk protein.
Thanks! That would make sense because before Joiwhip I thought my hair liked proteins. It must just be some proteins like keratin. Anyone else have this problem?
Keratin and soy protein leave my hair dry and frizzy but silk amino acids don't seem to bother my hair.
That's why I think Joiwhip didn't work for me either . There's a lot of Keratin in that.
3b/c fine, thick, porous, protein sensitive
Modified CG, CJ Rehab, JCWDT, KCKT, VO5 Chamomile Tea Therapy, CJDF, HEBE Gel/Mousse, Bioinfusion Rosemary Mint shampoo, occasional protein

Experimenting with BRHG

And I had thought maybe it was just me! Well I haven't noticed it with soy protein, just keratin so far. I'll have to watch out. I kept thinking something was wrong with my hair, lots of people like Joiwhip. Any other products that are loaded with Keratin?
As far as I know keratin should not make your hair dry or frizzy or damage it b/c keratin is what hair is made out of (its also what nails are made of)

Personally, I am okay with protein in products that are rinsed out, but I can't use a styler that's heavy in proteins for more than a couple days in a row. (I am a non-shampooer.)
