It's been almost a year that I've been madly in love with Too Shea. A bottle of conditioner usually lasts me about a month. Before Too Shea, I rarely bought the same conditioner two months in a row. There wasn't anything good enough to buy three months in a row.

>1 year: Jessicurl Aloeba. I order 3 bottles every 3 months like clockwork. I don't even feel the need to experiment/try new hair products anymore. Great stuff.

My HG is Ouidad Climate Control, and I would guess I've been using it for at least 4 years.
A close second is Curlfriends shampoo - 2 years or more.

Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner has been a HG for over three years, and Nexxus Versastyler Gel for about two years. Neither one has let me down regardless of season or weather.

Two years for me using Nature's Gate Organics shampoo. Almost that long for Sauve Tropical Coconut conditioner (or whenever it was introduced, can't quite recall), and also LA Looks gel, although I recently switched to LA Looks sport gel (has even more hold). It's great having found products that work! Every now and then though I will try something new, especially in the summer when I battle humidity.

Re: Holy Grail products that have withstood the test of time
I have been using Curly Pudding for about 14 months. Nothing controls my locks and prevents shrinkage like Curly Pudding . I use unrefined shea butter too. I also like Curls products but no longer use them since I make my own deep and leave-in conditioners. I guess in a way my own products have become my Holy Grail :P .
The majority of my hair is 3b/c with fine and tight curls.

I've been a CGer for some time.
That seems to be my HG. I fiddle with different conditioners and gels, but that is it. Doesn't really seem to matter what I use.
Love the CG routine though. I can go a few days without cleansing if I want. Love 2nd day hair, too.

I posted Deva One Condish as my all time fave condish. This Ojon hair treatment is going to be a favorite as well!

I have been using Elucence for 4 days now and I am getting amazing results.
This may be a HG conditioner for me. I love Pantene, but hate the cones over the long run. This conditoner makes my curls shiny and well defined just like Pantene minus the cones. Yeah!

Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Conditioner as my washing conditioner. Have used this since beginning the CG routine about 1 year ago. Other than adding a little lemon juice to it once a month, it's all I need to clean my hair.
I have no desire to try any other washing conditioners.
Boots Curling Cream (about 10 months) gives me everything (curliness, hold, cost effective, dependability, moisture, definition) I could want in a styling product but I still lust after others.

i can say that for about a year now Aveda universal styling creme and Fruit of the earth aloe vera gel are my HG's. it took me a while to realize i should combine them lol. i thank nc.com for that critical info! nothing can come close to the results i get with this combo. i've tweaked a few things to make my hair even better by adding honey and making my own spray leave in condish with spectrum naturals organic coconut oil and water. my hair is so amazing now and i'm so proud to be me, which is curly. i swear i get compliments literally everyday by someone new who is just in awe with my curls. i guess it's because they are so tight and well defined. the main questions i get asked are "do you twist your hair to make it curl like that?" and "is that a straw set?" when i say "nope that just the way it is" the looks on their faces are priceless lol.

Pink
Pink moisturizer for years.
Oh, and natural oils for years.
Not even sure how many.
My "newest" HG in the last month is Eluscence. I'm realizing that for me, conditioners and moisturizers are much more important than styling products, and with enough moisture in the hair, I don't even need products.

Re: Pink
Just curious--what's in the Pink moisurizer? Is it a dominican product?

Re: Pink
It's made in the US by Luster, the same people who make S curl, but it is wildly popular in a lot of the islands. My mom used it in Trinidad and put it in our hair when we were kids. I know it is used in Jamaica, Bahamas, Grenada and Barbados where I have family and in-laws. I've seen it in Cuba, though it's harder to get US products there. I don't know if it's used in DR but I wouldn't be surprised.
I know it has stuff in it CG'ers would not like, such as lanolin and mineral oil, but they are low on the ingredient list. Sorry, I don't have it in front of me now - if I remember I'll look at home. It is called Pink because it is pink. It smells amazing - like baby lotion, and is very light and super moisturizing. You can use it on wet hair or dry. When my hair looks fried, I smooth some on and instantly have moist looking, bouncy curls. It gives me a lot of shine and I find a lot of products dull my black hair. I like it with S curl because I don't like the feel of gel in my hair generally and the Pink softens it. It also helps you to comb through your hair and makes it feel soft.
Basically, it does everything, and it's dirt cheap and available everywhere. It's the only hair product other than shampoo that my 4b husband uses and I know when he has it on because his hair literally glitters like there are tiny diamonds in it.
