The curls themselves look good, but my beef is with that last fluffing step that I've been doing. Plus, I'm one of 3 girls here (me, my 3 year old diva, and my 7 mo old). I have to blow out my 3 year old's hair because it just looks better if I do it. I can't leave it alone because i have some issue with children and wet hair....I may return this and get a dryer with a regular bowl diffuser so I can also use the same dryer for my daughter's hair. I think that's honestly my only hangup....I dont' want 2 seperate dryers...I have no room!!
I must be missing something.... why can't you use it on your 3 year old?

it's not a "regular" dryer....look up the link and you will see why. my 3 year lld is, alas, a "straightie"..... but there's always puberty to look forward to.

Question Bumping

I found this at Ross tonight for $9 but the one I bought is the Ionic one (Conair curl fusion).

For $9 it's worth it and someone I work with doesn't have a diffuser so if it doesn't work I can pass it on.

Anyone have any input since this thread was last updated in 2008?

Thumbs up Well Bloody Hell

This thing is amazing!

I normally finish diffusing my hair at about 6:00-6:05. I have a very tight morning schedule.

I took this dryer out last night and it seemed to blow my dry hair around--I was just playing with it. I was quite worried as I absolutely don't relish making another trip to Ross this Holiday season!

So I put the attachement on (it's better for me that way) and diffused this morning. Because it is so small, so light, and so manuverable I was able to scrunch my hair while drying. I stopped at about 80% just like normal and it was 5:53AM. WOOT! My hair is really curly! It looks awesome! There isn't really any SOTC much to do so we'll see if it holds all day but so far it is looking truly amazing!

This thing rocks! It's all that!

When you use the finger attachment with this, is there any danger of hair getting caught in the dryer? I bought this about a year ago and returned it to ULTA. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shake; I only tried it once.

Also, does anyone use a heat protectant cream of some sort on their hair when they use this? Asking, since most of those have at least one 'cone, from what I've seen.

I love this diffuser! I got it for travel purposes but I will use it on a regular basis! I think a bowl diffuser gives a little more control/less blowing the air around, but this dryer lets you get closer to your scalp for more volume. it did a really good job of drying my hair and diffusing to help with volume and curl. Well worth the $20 I paid on Amazon.

I didn't have any problem with my hair catching in the fan (but my hair is between chin and shoulder length). And I didn't use any special heat protectant.

I am going to have to order it from Amazon, too, I guess. Just need to get some extra $. So dumb that I returned the one I had a year or so ago, since I can't find it at ULTA anymore. I guess we weren't ready for each other, or I had unrealistic expectations -- I really thought it would be lighter than it was. I guess I'm out of touch with what the "non-featherweight" dryer products feel like.

I LOVE this dryer. I own two of them. My shoulder length hair dries quickly with this dryer and it doesn't get caught in the fan. I've had no problems using it.

Ever since Alex said she found it at ross, i've been searching for an on-ground place to get one. I've had no luck. It sucks. I've looked at wal-greens/ulta/target/big lots -- OMG you name it and I can't find one. I even went to ross/tjmaxx/marshalls.

I'm gonna have to suck it up and order one. *sigh*

Goobernut, I found mine at CVS and it seems that most all of them around Boston sell the CurlFusion. When I went to see my family in SC over the holidays, I hunted everywhere and couldn't find it. Maybe it's a regional thing, but check CVS. They carry it here for $14.99 at regular price.

Again, the lure! With DH at work and DS hanging with friends, I am heading over to 1-2 CVS again to see if I have better luck this time. Maybe they have replenished stock from the holiday shopping crunch.

If it makes anyone feel better, it was not available at my local CVSs. But the store I got it from on Amazon offered free shipping! Woot!

I'm still using mine 2 years later..and i still really like it alot! I have never got my hair caught in it, no matter which way I blow it. It still works great after 2 years, although I am considering getting a devafuser attachment now just to try it--there's nothing wrong with my curlfusion, I just like to switch things up a bit!

Just got back from trying 3 CVS stores. Nada, zilch, and zippo. Not like it was sold out; it wasn't even listed on the shelves. This is my 2nd gad about town in search of the elusive Curl Fusion dryer. I wave the white flag now.

solidgold, can you please post a link to Amazon so I can try to get the free shipping offer too.

It looks like Amazon will sell it for $20.19 and free super saver shipping if you order something else to get your total above $25:

Oh--here's the seller I got it from--same offer--$20 free shipping:

Good luck!

You're a doll to post back so quickly! I just bought it. Finally. From the seller with free shipping because that's all I wanted for now. I am always an internet shopping fan first; I wish I'd just done that to begin with.

I think someone else had a thread going about this dryer a few months ago... maybe Alexjoujou or Goobernut?

This is one of the 3 pancake dryers I own right now (the only type of diffuser I've used for the last 20 some years). Got it cheap on Ebay a couple years ago. Works great.
I don't ever use the toothy attachment but I think it would be affective for those who do the Pixiecurl method.
