Default Tired of same, plain old curls

Hey guys!

I haven't been around here for a while, but in that time I've been messing around with my hair routine and most recently I've been wearing it like this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ryth/curls.gif
using Athena Owl's method*. I won't deny I get nice looking curls but they're sometimes stringy and look more like fat dreadlocks than anything else. That, and it's flat on the top and polopping makes it worse.

My question right now is; does anyone have any other styles to wear their curls? I've seen some of you with absolutely envy-inducing locks and I'm just looking for some suggestions.

*(which is here is anyone is interested)http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlta...c.php?t=91402&

That's a pretty cool method! I doubt my hair would hold it though, unfortunately.

I think that if you made a couple more sections out of the crown part you could twist them up higher and might get more volume up top.

I definitely agree with Meriellyn about twisting up higher towards the top of your head. And maybe parting it even more to the side would be helpful. It could add some more volume to the top of your head. It's a very cute way of wearing your hair though!
