Default Need advice-DevaCurl & Jessicurl

I've been using the Devacurl line almost exclusively for a while, but with only okay results. I love LoPoo, OneC and Angell, but the rest of the line does nothing for me. I've been trying a bunch of different creams underneath the Angell, again, with okay results. So I thought I'd give the Jessicurl stylers a whirl. I used RR under CC yesterday, but I think that was too heavy for my very fine hair. So today, I used CC over Angell with good results, but it feels really producty. Am I using too much CC? I have the Gelebration too, so I'll try that this week, but does anyone have any tips for using this stuff? With any other lines as well? Any input would be GREAT!

i use RR first, on dripping wet hair, then CC, then i plunk in a microfiber towel. once i'm done plunking, i scrunch and shape with mousse.

if you hair feels too producty, maybe you need to scrunch out the crunch, or use less of the CC. i find that one feels heavier than the others.

i've had the gelebration, but not had much luck with it b/c i felt like my hair needed more hold. sounds like it might be good for you though since you may need less.

I scrunched the crunch out, but it still felt 'sticky'.

I'm going to try it with less of the CC tomorrow. Anyone else with fine hair use this line? What are you using and how much are you applying?

I have been using the CCSS under b'leave in and angell with very good results. Well, excellent results on Saturday and good results today (i strayed and used different stuff yesterday). I have shoulder length fine hair and I used probably a quarter sized of CCSS all together on my hair maybe a bit more - a nickle size of b'leave in and probably close to a quarter size of angell. I have actually been having good results with the SIF to scrunch out the crunch when it all dries too. I think SIF for me only works over the other deva products.

I have very fine (but full) 3b hair, and I just recently switched from Deva to Jessicurl. I'm really loving the Jessicurl, I get great curl definition with Too Shea as conditioner, a little Aloeba for leave in and CCSS. My hair is a little more flat than usual, so I need to work that out.

However, my hair feels less producty, softer and generally lighter and softer, despite not having as much volume.

About 3 quarter sized glops. I have A LOT of hair, though.

I have long fine hair but not a lot of it. I use a *tiny* bit of Aloeba as a leave-in, then maybe 2 dime size bits of CCSS (one on each side), then gel. Have you tried the CCSS w/out the RR? RR made my hair a little stringy which made it look kinda producty. I need to experiment a lilttle more with that. I haven't tried the Gelebration yet so I can't say anything about that.

That's an intriguing combo; I never would have thought of it. I'm going to try it.

i'm trying to use less CCSS. today, i only used about a quarter-sized glop total. i usually use 2 or 3. and my hair is only shoulder length....a little longer in the back. my goal is to eliminate my halo of frizzies.

I can't use thr RR and CCSS together, just too much product. I have the best results with Curl Keeper on soaking wet hair, then a quarter size amount of RR scrunched in while still in shower. This has been great
Also, a ACV rinse once a week does wonders

Oh, I hope it works (I get worried when someone tries something I do). But again today - good hair. I have not srunched with the SIF yet but I can usually tell if it's going to be a good hair day when I take my hair out of the plop.

I mix together a quarter+ size amount of CC with a dime+ size amount of ArcAngell and fingercomb in upside down while my hair is soaking wet. Then I scrunch with MF towell and pixiecurl diffuse a bit. After i eat breakfast (20-25 minutes or so), I scrunch in about 10 squirts of SIF, which takes out most of the crunch, since my hair is pretty much dry by then. Then once totally dry or before I leave for work, I flip over and spritz with Jessicurl Awe Inspiraling Spray. This works pretty well for me. I get good definition and no crunch. My hair is BSL and not layered much since I haven't had a haircut in forever
