thinking about jojoba

i've seen a lot of products with jojoba oil in them, but i'm concerned they aren't CG friendly. jojoba is not really an oil, but a liquid wax. the wax part is what concerns me.

any thoughts?

thanks in advance,
Lori

it's a wax in the same way that your natural sebum is a wax. It's very easily absorbed by skin, and works beautifully in hair. I love jojoba oil. And it's perfectly CG. It's chemically almost identical to the oil your skin produces.

thank you! i wanted someone to reassure me.

Love jojoba

Just wanted to put my two cents in, too.

Jojoba is GREAT for curls. I'll often massage some into my scalp and distribute it through the ends and sleep with it in my hair. The next morning, it washes out easily - and I do CO (V05 kiwi lime), so no harsh shampoos are needed to get it out.

I also use it as an all-over body moisturizer. Love it. :D

I also love Jojoba oil. I do what the previous poster does and put some in my dry hair at night and then wash it out in the morning. Sometimes I'll mix it with a bit of coconut oil. Some people use it during the day to smooth their curls or tame frizzies.
I've also been loving it as a facial moisturizer at night. I have oily skin but I read somewhere that it's non-comedogenic so it can even be used on oily skin. I massage in 1-2 drops after washing my face. I've been doing this for a week now and no breakouts and my skin looks so much smoother.

Magoo - I also have oily skin and love jojoba for my face. I mix 1/2 oz. of jojoba oil with lavender and clary sage essential oils (a few drops of each) and apply a drop to my face while damp - not only does it feel and smell nice, but those two oils are supposed to be great for oily skin.
:)
