I don't stop myself. I give DH the "evil look" if he so much as thinks about touching my hair.

I don't stop myself, either. It took awhile, but at the threat of bloodshed and death, my husband knows not to come near my hair when it's drying. Once it's dry, I really don't care as long as we're not going anywhere.

OMG, it drives me nuts when my husband plays with my hair while it's still wet. But at least now he only pets my head and doesn't run his fingers through my curls. One evening he was raking his fingers through my hair and I was like, errr, could you not destroy my hair please? He said, I thought separating them would be good for them. Ummmm- where in the name of god would anyone get an idea like that?!?!

He ought to know better by now. Mine just pets them gently, and even then I give him the evil eye if I think he might be messing them up.

Haha me too! If he doesn't get the message from "the look", I just say...for your own safety, do not touch The Hair!

LOL

Bless em.

I don't mind him touching my hair when I'm not going anywhere, just not when my curls are perfect! It takes so much hard work to get them just right. They have no idea!

I have actually heard my DH tell other people "Don't touch the curls!" if he sees them going for them.
Why do people say I love your hair and then feel the need to reach out with a hand on each side of my head and mess with them, I don't touch their straight strands

My BF knows better than to touch the hair unless I say "feel this!"
My mom on the other hand... She loves to come up and go "oh your hair looks so good!" which I appreciate but it's always accompanied by this weird inspection thing she does where she starts running her finger through and lifting the layers in the back, totally destroying my curl structure. *sigh*

My husband has actually yelled from clear across a room, 'FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T TOUCH HER HAIR!!" It is just too funny! People have actually jumped back like I was on fire or something. He definitely knows the drill.

My mom does this to me too, except it's usually followed by a mean comment about my hair. She tries to tease it with her hands to make it bigger! It makes me want to bite her hand. The hubby on the other hand, knows the rules. No touchy the hair, unless given direct permission by the head those curls are attached to.
