Trader Joes Nourish has to be the best conditioner I've ever used. I'm just trying to use up the others that I have, but I'll probably keep buying this one. Especially at the price!

Activate is one of my favorites, but no way am I shelling $20 for 12 oz, that is insane!! I am gonna call and complain!!

ETA
I called and asked what was going on and she said those were the new prices, She did offer to sell me the products at the orginal prices, if I ordered over the phone. I shouldn't have to do that!! I am not a very happy customer.

They offered me that too but she said that's the old inventory. They're reformulating and going salon-only with the $20 stuff. :P

I guess they're going to have to adjust their description of themselves...

Quote:
Activate Beauty is a Miami-based manufacturer and distributor of hair care and beauty products focused on the beauty needs of Hispanic women. The company is committed to delivering the reliable, top quality hair care solution that Latinas have been looking for at great prices.
More like great-big prices now.

Ok I am guilty of looking to stock up on it locally, if i don't have to pay shipping I am all for it. Anyway, i went to Walgreens, and it was $4.19, a bottle, I asked if they were gonna stop carrying it, and the manager told me, yes but they could order it for me. Ya know I bought 4 bottles. Sorry

I saw Activate products yesterday at my local Pathmark. I was in a rush so I just got a glimpse of it. The price is same around $7 some cents I guess for the hair cream. A lot of curlies seems to like it. Which of their product is the best? I think its the conditioner that seems to be a favorite here. If their conditioner is rich then I might try it out and stock it up before the prices goes up.

The conditioner is by far the most popular here. A lot of curlies like the shampoo for occasional use. It's very gentle and doesn't strip your hair. A few people have liked the curl cream and the straightening cream (to style it curly), but not that many.

Wow, they sold out and are alienating their consumers by going 'salon only' and ridiculously overpriced. Good goin' Activate.

Watch the company fold by the end of the year.

I found the conditioner to be very moisturizing and liked it a lot. I tried the shampoo and it was very gentle compared to any I have tried (I haven't tried Jessicurl or LowPoo yet, though--keeping in mind that I'd have to order those online.)

I live in WI, my Mom lives in Florida. She comes home several times a year and has been bringing me a couple bottles of activate condish each time she comes. She lives in Ft. Lauderdale, so she has many Walgreens all around her (and when I was there once, I stocked up). I live in the sticks and have none! Anyway, she came home last Thursday and said she must be getting senile, the bottle that looked familiar to her is $20.99 and she just knowwwwwws she wasn't paying that much before. She wanted to look at my bottle so she could remember what she use to get.

For a split second I grinned at the thought of messing with her.........(evil, I know!) But, being the good daughter, I told her what was going on, and that NO, she wasnt' getting senile........well, at least not about this!

So, I guess the 3 bottles of activate I have will be my last 3 bottles

Aww, what a sweet mom you have! And you thought about tricking her, evil child!

All I can do is smile and shake my head at the absurdity of this whole thing. Let's see, should I get a small bottle of Activate or a whole liter of a real salon conditioner? Hmmm.... toughie!

OMG. This is crazy! The 5.1 oz Straightening Cream, which is WAY tinier than the conditioner, is $5 MORE than the conditioner! I already thought it was ridiculous when it was $6.99 like the conditioner (although a my Ulta, it was only $3.98. Maybe my Ulta will at least make it less than the conditioner, say $15?) I'm going to Ulta today, probably, so I'll report back.

This is obnoxious! Not inspiring brand loyalty. I use the deep treatment in rotation as a regular conditioner. Found 1 tube at Rite Aid. Oh, well. Another one bites the dust.

i picked up two of these since they were on sale and i had been reading here about the price hike. I'm kind of mad i bought them now, because i like it and now i wont be able to get it for that price anymore! I may go back and pick up the last three bottles.

Seriously crazy of them to change the price so drastically, it's a good product..but really now.

Well, at Ulta, all the Activate products were on sale for $3.98. I didn't buy anything because they didn't have what I usually get - Straightening Cream. I'm afraid that this is the big sale before the prices go up...way up.

You mean your Ulta has already gone to the dark side of charging $19 for AHS?

No, it was just still the old full price. I've been posessed by my PJ all month and swore I wouldn't buy it if it wasn't marked down.
Luckily I had already checked out before I remembered to look and I was in a hurry so I didn't have time to justify it. Lol.

Oh, okay. I'm guessing they're changing it the end of the month or the end of the summer.
