Activate price hike?

Another thread brought my attention to the Activate site, and I was floored by the prices they now have posted. According to their online store, the conditioner is now $20.00! It used to be $6.99, so that's amost triple the price!! The treatment and all styling products (which also used to be $7) are now $25.00. Have they gone nuts?

BTW - Ulta.com still has them for $6.99, so if this is a permanent price change, now is the time to stock up!

Edited to fix link.

I saw that price in the other thread too. I had to order Activate - I never found it at any of the stores but I know I didnt pay that much for it - I never would have bought it.

Shocking! What are they thinking?!?

I don't have this locally but have mail ordered before. It's OK, I just feel like it is barely worth it for $6.99 each plus shipping. But $20.00?!?!?!? Definitely NOT!
Walgreens.com still has it listed for $6.99.

I can't imagine paying $20.

Holy crap! Have they lost their minds?! I love the shampoo and like the conditioner a lot but for $20 I can do a lot better! The whole reason I use it is because I don't want to spend that much! I wonder if they're reformulating too. Wouldn't surprise me since it seems to be the current trend in hair stuff.
So ridiculous!

I liked the Activate cond but I liked the Trader Joes Nourish Spa Cond just as much, if not better, and I think it was $2.99????

Thanks for the heads up. I will contact their customer support and see what they say Maybe it is only pricey through their site.
Let us know what they have to say.
If this is an all 'round price jump, maybe we can send them a bunch of emails letting them know what a horrible idea it is. Sales will go through the floor if they try to get 20 bucks for it. It'd be a shame to lose the products over this.

I'm holding out a bit of hope that this might be a mistake.

When I first saw the prices, I got excited that they were making liter sizes now. But then I saw clear as day it says 12 oz.

In the mean time, they should get rid of the part that says "SALON FORMULAS AT HALF THE PRICE!"

That is ridiculous! This is one of the lines I rotate use in my routine. If it is going to cost $20 to buy, then I will stick with suave and Vo5. How do you increase by that much? Do they think we are completely oblivious to the prices of the products we purchase? GREE-DY!

Meriellyn, if you would like to try the Trader Joe's spa nourish condish and or poo, I'd be happy to mail some to you. I go to TJ's every week. I haven't tried the CO yet, but I recently tried the 'poo , and I think it's great. My much curlier friend loves the CO. All organics, and how can you beat that price??! I love TJ's.

If I can get handmade organic products for half the price, why on earth would I spend that much on Activate?

That would be awesome! I'm a big Giovanni fan and I hear they're comprable so I've been itching to give it a shot. Could you PM me about it? Thanks!

I love Activate shampoo and conditioner, but I will not be buying it for $20/bottle. How can they justify such a huge price increase?

I suspect that it became a popular product because so many people here on this board used it with great results (I always thank Internetchick for bringing it to our attention!). And the company responds by nearly tripling the price? That doesn't even begin to make sense to me....
2C top/3A&B underneath. Activate Hydrating Conditioner, Jessicurl products.
According to this thread, the price change is permanent. They must be insane! For $20, I can get a liter of Elucence or Kenra conditioner, why in the world would I pay that much for a small bottle?

Wow. They'll be losing me as a customer then. I like both the shampoo and conditioner, but only because it's such a good price. It's not good enough to pay that much for it.

I guess I'll be sticking with TJ's Nourish once I'm out of my current stash of Activate.
