Anyone else find that less is more?

I think my hair has been rebelling against the product overload I have been exposing it to since going modified CG almost three months ago. It has been looking really bad lately, maybe one good hair day in the last week.

I was in a hurry today, and just CO washed w/ VO5 Mint Tea Therapy. Didn't follow up w/ a better condish like normal. I put the smallest dab of Garnier Curl and Shine in and scrunched and plopped for about 20 minutes.
Then I took it down and sprayed on the lightest possible mist of LTW and diffused to about 90% dry. Perfect results!

Normally I go through an elaborate process of layering different product, but using minimal amounts of absolutely nothing special worked great for me today!
All I do is wash with Suave shampoo and conditioner, put mousse in while it's still dripping wet, scrunch with paper towels, and it's perfect! Too many products make my hair look disgusting.
Same here. I just Co wash once a week and on other days either do a DT with oil or simply wash with water. I dry using paper towels and just use the lavender +aloe vear mist and voila ! Great curls :-)
I can get a good wavy look from minimal products and styling and that's nice when I'm in the mood for it, which is was for most of last year. Lately I've been in a curlier mood which requires a bit more hold and coaxing.

Yes, for me less is definitely more. I only wish I could remember that from time to time and stop experimenting so much with all the products I tell myself that I need!

Love Jessicurl and KCCC might be my HG.

Yes! Now I just use 2 products and air-dry. I've given up trying to make my waves curlier than they are, and just go with it. I find that the Giovanni Leave-In dries with a slight crunch which I scrunch out later, and I'm left with nice definition.

for me less product definitely = good hair days.

especially since using blended beauty, i only use a fingertip scoop and it does enough for my whole head ( i have quite thick bra strap length hair) Also it has to be on soaking wet hair too.

Less id definitely more for me too! My hair can get wayyyyy over conditioned very easily. I usually just co-wash and rinse. No extra co for me!
2c or 3a Cut most of my hair off in July '12 and am working on regrowing it.
I think my hair is going through the same thing...it was positively greasy looking after it dried (used leave-in condish, AB curl cream and FSG). It has actually been looking more and more limp the last few days...and is always MUCH curlier on Day 2.

Today I am experimenting with an ACV rinse followed by a dab of leave-in and a dab of AB curl cream. We'll see how it goes. I haven't yet tried the curl cream by itself yet, so this is a double experiment!

I may even go diffuse, because air-drying twice in one day is more than I can handle! I'll report back on the results!

I'm thinking that as my hair is getting healthier it just needs less goop...does that sound familiar?

It depends on the weather, but generally, yes, I find that less is more, and that using a million products at once is kind of silly.

Yeh I made a similar thread recently, how my hair had ever looked better and I had only used lighter than light condish, curl creme and gel. My hair hates a lot of stuff, but I will insist on piling the products in. Gotta listen to the hair more!

But then again, too few to mention...
Reporting back! My hair is now totally dry and it looks MUCH better. Curls are tighter, softer and go all the way to the root. So yay! I guess less really is more!

Also, the AB Curl Cream is fantastic...hardly any crunch at all!
