I've struggled with my 3b shoulder length curly hair my whole life. I've straightened it for most of my life until that last two years. Over the last 30 years or so, whenever I would wear it curly, I would always get the "your hair looks so good straight", or "it looks better straight", etc. Needless to say, I've always been really stressed about my hair.
I finally have found a routine that works! I co-wash, use Devacurl One C
as my leave in and then use Graham Webb gel. I diffuse as much as I can and scrunch, etc.
Well, yesterday, with 2nd day hair, thanks to pineappling, I actually got 3 "your hair is gorgeous" comments and 1 "who does your hair? it's beautiful" (I'm sure she thought I had some sort of perm). I'm so happy to finally be my true curly self and have people actually compliment it!
Thanks to everyone here on these message boards for all of the tips, etc! I wish I would have known how to style my hair long ago....
