Anyone know how I can resize my avatar pic?

So I finally figured out(with the help of a fellow curly on this board) how to post a link to my pics. Now when I go to my profile and choose a pic from my computer to use, it says its to big. Can someone explain to me how to resize it small enough to fit? I am so not a computer person!

Hey there! What type of photo editing program do you have? You just need to resize your photo to 80 X 80 pixels.

I was also having a problem with this, and just gave up after a few tries. My image is 48x54 pixels @ 72 DPI. When I try to upload it, it says it's too big still!

Try http://resize2mail.com/. It's easier than an editing program.

Hey Ab-star, how are you? I dont even know what my editing program is on my computer! I might try that website so I dont mess anything up, it looks pretty straightforward. Thanks for the help everyone!

I tried the website this morning shortly after it was posted, and although it resized it to the correct number of pixels, and the file size was smaller than ever before, it was still 10KB too big for uploading here. There doesn't seem to be an option for specifying a file size limit.

I think I am one of the rare people whose hair enjoys the humidity here! Thank you so much for your compliments, that really made my day!
I did the same as your daughter for my bday about 8 years ago! Some friends, my mom, and I went there and shopped and went to see a movie! Im sure she will have an awesome time! I'll be looking for you too, I hope to go there tomorrow to get some of that Sexy Hair Pumpkin Leave in stuff! Oh, if you stop at Blooming Beauty, I got some discontinued Back to Basics condish for $1.00! The sale area looked kinda bare, but they may have some more goodies hiding there!

If you use Photoshop, you can choose "save for web" which makes the file as small as possible; you can choose to save it on e.g. "high quality" instead of maximum which makes the file smaller etc.

How funny that you did the same kind of party!! I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time in Limited Too.

We have company in town from the Netherlands and I am taking them to MacArthur next week. I will definitely stop by Blooming Beauty!
