L.A. Looks Curls & L.A. Looks Durahold

I just bought the Durahold today!!!!
It smells amazing, sort of tropical and citrus-y...I usually use L.A. Looks Sports and it smells fresh, has great hold, but makes it a little crunchy.

As soon as I put Durahold in my hair it immediately smoothed it down, and I notice no frizz. It's still extremely wet, but I've found it's drying better than the Sports Gel did, and maybe it will work better.

My question is whether L.A. Looks Curls which is a holding level 8 works similar/better than the Durahold which is a holding level 10+......

The durahold holds better for me than the curl gel and it isn't as crunchy as the sport gel, so it's sort of in the middle of both of those I think..and it controls frizz pretty good

I haven't tried the durahold, but I'm having great luck with the Curls gel. My hair hasn't looked this great in ages! And its holding the curls in place all day. Not too crunchy either.

Did anybody try the L.A. Looks Gel Smoothie. I picked it up last night after work, aiming for the Durahold, but they didn't have it in the store. They had the Curls. But Gel smoothie had the same description I remembered from the durahold review.

" Enhanced with Triactive hold ingredients for absolute fixation, absolute resistance and absolute durability.." The hold is 9.

I liked that the third ingredient is Glycerin, which is good for my curls.

It is not translucent like their other gels and feels a little like a cream gel, and smells real great and fruity. It is still wet now, so I have to wait till it is completely dry and see how it holds up.

So, my hair is finally dry. It dried a little crunchy, because I tried the gel without a leave in. It says on the bottle that it is a moisturizing gel.
I got more curls than with the Sports gel. A little less clumping, but that could also be because I skipped the leave in. Now comes the test, how long it holds up at work. I report back tomorrow morning with an update.

It might be a little downside, it has Aminopropyl Dimethicone. ( I do not know if that is watersoluble, it escaped me when I bought it due to bad eyesight)

I like your hair. It looks really shiny and healthy.
Well, I am excited so far. The Gel held up all night, through humidity, open truckwindow and smoky nightclub. Tomorrow I will try it with my usual leave in. Garnier Curl and shine. The clumping could be better.
I had different frizz though. It was only the new growth ( baby hairs), first time that happened.
I just hope it stays that way, because most products work for me the first day and then not anymore on the following days. I really want it to work though, because the gel feels good going on, smells good and the price is better then what I usually have to spend. Also this year I had the hardest time adjusting to humidity.CentralTexas has been drowning for months and I was not used to that much rain and humidity.
I keep you up to date if you are interested. Did not find the gel on the website yet.

I used the gel 3 days now and I love it. Perfect hairdays even in humidity.
And it does not dry my hair like other gels. I hope it keeps up this way.
I did change the application from upside down and plopping, to Ouidad Style ( applying in sections). Love the results, but maybe it was time for me to change the application anyway.
