Any type 2's get a deva-cut? Questions

I just found out there is a highly rated deva trained stylist very close to me. I am currently growing out a too-short trim, and have always have had my hair cut wet, for blowing out straight. However, I wear it wavy/curly and am thinking it may make more sense to have it cut dry. How well does this technique work for type 2-bish hair? How would it look dried straight?

The stylist I went to most recently was not deva trained...but I walked in with 2b hair and walked out with 3a, I swear. He did both wet and dry cut, maybe because it needed soooo much shaping. He took a ton of bulk while wet, then dried it, then cut each curl dry. I think he had to do it this way just to be able to see what the curl potential was? I don't know. I asked him about the dry cutting and he said that really, every head of hair is different and that he believes in doing what works. And believe me, it works. So I would say go for it, but I am no longer stuck on absolutely, positively insisting on all dry cuts. they aren't for me.

Shampoo: Still use sulfates, but only on roots
Rinse out: Deva One C, JC Too Shea, Original Sprouts Deep Conditioner
Curl Enhancers: KCCC; JC Rocking Ringlets, JC Spiralicious, & Confident Coils
Styler: BRHG (over any and all curl enhancers) - this is the one product that I never change - absolute HG!!

Yes, I absolutely LOVE IT. Ethan rocks my socks. I'm pretty sure that as I continue to go back, he will keep working with me and helping me to accept my hair the way that it is...some days are really curly, and some days aren't! But my hair is just so much easier and it dries a lot faster now (though still not as fast as I would like but them the breaks!)
