Default side part

i've tried to part my hair on the side so many times without much success. does anybody know how to switch a middle part to the side? does hair have to be "trained" to part this way or do you have to keep manually doing it each day?

TIA

I used to middle part, but now I part it slightly to the side...my hair just seems to fall better that way. I part it where I want it when I get out of the shower.

My hair has a mind of its own & parts where it wants to, which is the middle because of the middle being the 'valley' & a cowlick for a 'mountain' on each side. I've tried sprays, 'glues', & gels & it always did what it wants. I stopped bothering with it & let it have its way. Now you know what it does -- it goes slightly off-center to either side whenever it feels like it!!! Stupid hair!

babypie- if you want to switch to the side, you'll have to do it "manually" for a while and then it'll start naturally falling there.

my hair will just automatically do what i "train" it to do. i've been side-parting for about a year and i don't have to use a pen to get it straight anymore!

My hair goes to the same curl liberation rally that LibbyLiz's hair goes to.

The past six months its been parting in the middle( I don't part it and try to encourage it to have NO part). This week its been parting on the right. I don't know if it's a political statement or just my mop.
