ITA-
I used John Frieda's frizz ease and straightened for years too. I look back at photos of myself from when I began CG and cringe. But it's totally worth it, you'll notice a change very soon. I would say to go ahead and straighten, but try to stick with it after that. I'm not sure if Deva makes a product that will really protect your hair if you use a flat iron. You might do some substantial damage w/out heat protection. It might be safer to use frizz ease and straighten- then clarify with a shampoo- then start your CG routine again. If you can get good results by just blowdrying then Deva might be good enough.
