Default New to CG- going to a wedding this weekend- help

Hi, I'm new to the forum and also new to Curly Girl methods. I just got my haircut at Devachan last friday and have been trying to follow the CG routine- no shampoo, all Deva products. I feel like I still need to experiment with the products and styling to really get my hair to look good. Right now, it looks pretty frizzy and dry. I had been using frizz ease serums for years. Anyway, I have a really important wedding I am going to this weekend, and I know I cannot go looking like this. How bad would it be to blowdry my hair (using only deva cg products) and then sunday just wash it out with One Condition? Thanks for the tips.

Alright, so if you're just beginning CG; I wouldn't suggest wearing your hair curly - at all! Because it's not magically going to change. I say do a blow-out and straighten, and then continue your CG-ness afterwards.

A much too important moment!

Ok, thanks. I guess I was just scared all my work in the CG routine would be negated.

ITA-
I used John Frieda's frizz ease and straightened for years too. I look back at photos of myself from when I began CG and cringe. But it's totally worth it, you'll notice a change very soon. I would say to go ahead and straighten, but try to stick with it after that. I'm not sure if Deva makes a product that will really protect your hair if you use a flat iron. You might do some substantial damage w/out heat protection. It might be safer to use frizz ease and straighten- then clarify with a shampoo- then start your CG routine again. If you can get good results by just blowdrying then Deva might be good enough.
