A-cone question

I've seen some conflicting advice. If I use CG CnS leave in, will the Cocamidopropyl Betaine in Lo Poo be enough to remove the amodimethicone in it?

How often should I Lo-Poo vs No-Poo?

Yes it will, and you can use it as often as you personally feel you need. If you feel build up, use it.

Yep that oughta do it. And as mentioned above, just do it when you need it. Your hair should tell you when.

It depends on your hair. In theory, coco beataine (in lowpoo) does remove the a-cone. However, if you're using a lot of amodimethicone and/or your hair is very prone to build-up, low poo may not be enough. You'll just have to see how your hair reacts. Most people are ok with the a-cone, so your odds are pretty good.

Thank you all for the advice!

I just started using the a-cone within the last week or so, after a month of strictly CG. I've been using the One C, and tried the CnS last night. I like the results so far, and want to rotate my stylers some to avoid buildup, but don't want to try anything that's a COMPLETE no-no!

You'll probably be fine, most people are, but I did have trouble with the a-cone [which is hands down my favorite way to refer to this 'cone].

I used it for a little more than a month. I tend use a lot of product, especially with the cheaper drugstore brands, so it had plenty of opportunity to build up. The first four weeks my hair was amazing. The fifth week it was a disaster, and from that point forward.

I waited about a month before SLS shampooing, too, to see if it would work itself out. It never did, so I shampooed a few times. Now my hair's fine, I've been babying lately. But it did take, oh, I don't know, 7 weeks, to sort it all out.
