Default Angell or BRHG?

I bought both of these today at Ulta but since I already have a gel, I think I should probably only keep one. So, which do you guys think is better? Which should I keep and why?

Thanks!

Neither one of these is a hit with me, so I don't know how good my advice will be. If I had to choose, I'd go with BRHG. Basically if you like strong hold go with BRGH, if you like VERY light hold go with Angell. I need at least medium hold in my stylers, so Angell felt and looked like having nothing in my hair. Not my best look. If you can deal with light hold, Angell is clump and curl enhancing, whereas BRHG isn't. It just holds like there's no tomorrow.

Thanks! Since I use LA Looks, which has major hold, maybe I could use that for hold and the Angell for clumping and enhancement.

Which two? LA Looks/Angell or Angell/BRHG?

I haven't tried the re-formulated BRHG as I still have some from last year. But, I prefer a harder hold, so I'd probably still go with the BRHG. The Angell just didn't do much for me but make my hair sticky.

For me - it would be the Angell. The BRHG was too much for my fine hair. It gave me stringier curls. I use Angell over re:coil which is Ok but I am finding I might need a bit stronger hold so I am thinking of mixing a small bit of the Biotera styling gel with the Angell.

I love Angel - for me its curl enhancing, medium hold.

I don't like BRHG - it makes my hair way too crunchy and my curls stringy.

I <3 BRHG. I only use a *tiny* dab and wet my hands a little after emulsifying so I don't have any issues with it weighing down my fine hair and I actually get more medium flexible hold and light crunch that come out easily. And great shine.

Angell wasn't economical for me at all because I had to use a TON then let it dry really really crunchy and scrunch it out. My hair looks much better drying with BRHG than Angell and I I absolutely muct touch it before it's totally completely dry it's not the end of the world. I so much as look at it crosseyed while it's drying with Angell and it's frizz city. :P I think it's because it's stickier.

The hold I get with BRHG is much more touchable/natural than the more set look with Angell. It doesn't look bad and may have a tad more volume (but I haven't tried it since my hair has grown a few inches so that may just be attributable to length), but it looks drier/less shiny and definitely isn't touchable.

You guys are making this so hard for me, and I'm already extremely indecisive in nature!

I guess I'll just have to keep thinking about it...maybe keep both...

Wow. What do you guys do? Just slick it in your 2nd-or-3rd day hair? Or add some water?

same here. Out of all the gels I have tried, BRHG is the worst, IMO.

I've used and loved both. Here's my opinions/comparison:

Angell - gives soft, natural-looking (and feeling), shiny curls. Need to use A LOT but looks beautiful when crunch is scrunched out. Best results with air drying.

BRHG - I've only used the old formula. Stronger hold than Angell. Best results when diffusing, and the combination of the gel plus diffusing gives me tighter curls than Angell. Leaves my hair feeling a little gunky/tangly, but looks great.

Usually just spritz w/ water and scrunch/arrange. Sometimes I might spritz w/ some very weak spray gel I mixed up. Depends on the frizziness. This stuff is stiff, but you can scrunch the crunch very easily. Worth it IMO for 3 days of almost worry free hair.

hmmm I haven't had a lot of luck with Angell. not enough hold for me. I haven't tried the new BRHG, the old one was pretty good, would dry pretty crunchy but looked good once you srunched it out. It made my hair really shiny. I am curious to try the new reformualted version. Basically to sum it up Angell had not enough hold and BRHG had too much hold.
