My wavy sis needs some help. I gave her a bottle of Jessicurl's RR last year and she loves it to boost her curls, but she gets frizz for second day hair. She wants something to fight the frizz and coax the curls, and get 2nd day hair. I use CK myself and never thought to have her try it when she visits. duh

She's probably a 2b-3a. Somewhat thick, more oily than dry. Do you think it would work for her? Recommendations please.

Should I put this on the 2 board? I thought I'd get more answers here but I guess not. I see everyone looking, but no responses.

I tried a search, but I get a zillion posts on CK and RR but they don't specify wavy, and I don't have 2 yrs to read thru them all!

Please help! Or do NO wavies use these products.

I use CK mixed w/Re:coil during the summer. I can't use CK when the weather is cooler and/or dry - it just makes my hair way too stringy - but it's HG for the hot, humid summer.

I have used RR, but I mix it with Confident Coils - 1 part CC to 3 parts of RR. I don't think I've ever used the CK & RR together, though (sorry, I'm no help at all ... )

Low poo: Elucence Moisture Balance poo or Deva Low Poo (scalp only)
Rinse out: Elucence Moisture Balance cond, Renpure (red bottle), Yes to Carrots, Deva One C
Leave in: Aveda Shampure or any of my RO's
Stylers: Summer - CK or KCCC under BRHG; Winter - SS CJE or B&A gel under BRHG

No, actually that was helpful. I meant CK or RR, not both. She's used the RR but gets the frizzies the next day, but hasn't tried the CK yet. I also have a sample of CC, maybe I should let her try it.

Basically, she's looking for one product that she can take for traveling too. (aren't we all?!)

Another wavy here. I've only used CK with other products so I don't know how it stands on its own.

If your sister only wants to carry one product while traveling, I'd suggest re:coil. I get the best waves with this stuff and even 2nd day hair.

Curlilocks - I can't use just one product on my waves Out of those two, the RR is definitely more curl enhancing for me, but I get major frizz using it alone, so I mix it in one bottle with the CC, which helps some with the frizz, although I still use gel over it for hold.

As far as frizz goes, nothing beats CK for me, but again, I use it with Re:coil, because I need it's curl enhancing properties. I agree with bunniee - if I had to choose one product, I'd go with the Re:coil.
