I'm really a "Full CG & no silicones" so I guess that means I'm on it hardcore...lol. Honestly though, I'm *REALLY* tempted to use silicones lately! That Bumble and Bumble Curling cream made my hair SO shiny. I think after I transition completely I'll use that stuff and the Jessicurl cleansig cream to get it out. Its too risky now with this fragile hair of mine though.

I'm not crazy cult like obsessed though....not yet anyway

I don't think that's what was intended by the original post at all, but it still makes my skin crawl.
What?? *confused*
No, it wasn't.
All just for fun.
I didn't think you did really mean it in a bad way! I can see how it can be meant in fun with all the vehemence some people have about "You MUST use CG!" It just reminds me of bad things, seeing the word cult.

Just don't mind me. I'll go away now.

I started using some 'cones too again, well the one in One Condition mostly. I decided not to care so much about things as long as my hair likes it.
I am obsessed with my hair because it is the first time in my adult life that my hair feels soft and looks shiny. I really want full CG to work for me because it has done wonders for my hair, but I don't care about others doing it or not. I actually think it is great that we all like different things.

I tried CG for a few weeks... all it did was make my hair poofy so that I had to use tons of product to get it under control. Maybe I was overconditioning, or getting build-up, but I tried an ACV rinse, and it made no difference.

So I went back to my shampoo... yeah, it has "no-no" ingredients, but ya know what... it works for my hair. It makes my hair shinier, softer, healthier-looking and -feeling, more defined, more manageable... and it gives me the freedom to use cones if I wish because it has sulfates to wash 'em out. So there! :P

I'm kidding with the "so there." No offense meant to CGers... but if going non-CG makes my hair look and feel better, then that's what I'm gonna do.

I think there are those that are CG in the sense that they strictly follow the routine, and then there are others, who took the information in the book and established a routine for their lifestyle. I co wash weekly, (okay, so I occasionally break down and shampoo) I use the cheapest, but still no-cone, products I can find - Suave M&H conditioner and AV gel - I diffuse everyday til it's dry, dry, dry, and I often pull it up by the end of the day. I'm can be pretty rough w/ it at times. I never brush, or comb for that matter, and I don't straighten it. I obsess enough about my hair, I don't need to start worrying that I will "disrupt the curl pattern"

The silicone on One Condish. is mixed with two other ingreds. that make it a water soluble silicone, at least that's what the ingredient article that is sticky posted at the top of these topics states. Check it out...

Sorry curlywally, don't mean to stalk you or anything.. (Posting on your threads tonight.)
Anyways, here is a thread about possible buildup from One Condition and the silicone in it.
http://naturallycurly2.com/phpBB/vie...684&highlight=

I guess it might just be water soluble IN THE BOTTLE but not in the hair...

Thanks! It looks like it's washed out by HCC, though, which is what I use. It also looks like a lot of people like it...including you! Do you still like it?

Yeah, if you use HCC there is no problem.

I have actually gone over to using the Elucence Conditioner instead. It's like my hair got heavy and droopy from One Condition. I only used conditioner washes at the time though, no HCC.
Elucence has no silicone and it doesn't weigh my hair down. It doesn't cost as much as One Co. too. I just like it better some how I guess.
They are both good conditioners though.
