Default Side bangs?

I saw Carrie Underwood on TV today and aside from COMPLETE curl envy, I noticed she has side bangs.

Do any of you curlies have side bangs that you keep curly, not straighten them?

Please show pics if you can/don't mind!

Random question for you stefathena! Did you cut them yourself or have them professionally done?

i cut them myself. i cut my own hair. the side bands are long enough to put behind my ear... i just needed something to cover up my big ol' forehead.

Oh awesome! I also cut my own hair and I've been toying with the idea of side bangs. Any tips/advice?

I have side bangs too. I had my stylist cut them in when I got my last hair cut about 6 months ago. I maintain them to keep them at the "just the right length to put behing my ear" length! Mine are about a 2c curl level.

i guess my only advice would be to do it gradually. maybe cut just a long layer in the front that you can sweep to the side and when you're feeling crazy, go shorter. and don't cut TOO much hair. just 5 or 6 bunches of ringlets. longer the further back on your head. shorter strands up front.

I do, but if they are cut too short I have to straighten them because they don't look right or behave. I suggest long side swept bangs and then you can let them be wavy or curly. It especially looks good on gals with a high forehead like me.

Thanks for being so helpful! Do you only cut the hair on one side?
