Are ALL Products on This Site CG Friendly?

I apologize if this has been covered before on this forum (I am 3 days new here!).

But I am wondering if all of the products reviewed and sold on this website are CG friendly?

I went to the store last night and just stared blankly at the vast number of products. I thought I would search through product reviews here and make my choices that way before heading to the store.

Is it ok to assume that if its here its in the clear?

Thanks!

No, not everything is CG. People review all types of products - not all are CG. Often, though, if a product is CG, they'll say it in the review.

In the store, not all products are CG-friendly. For example, they sell the Rapid Recovery Treatment by Miss Jessie's, which has cyclopentasiloxane in it (one of the worst silicones).

Are you mod-CG or strict CG? That way I can tell you which ingredients to avoid so that you know what you can use from reviews/CurlMart.

CoN green, HE hello hydration, burt's bees super shiny condish, & KCCC.

Sorry, but no. You'll have to either ask, or learn what ingredients are CG and which ones are not. http://healthycurls.awardspace.com/

I am just starting the program. I am planning on doing my clarification this saturday and not look back!

I plan on doing the CG program full force, at least to start with. If needed I will modify.

So, I am looking for "approved" products for my co-wash, daily conditioner, gel and some sort of leave-in product.

You'll also want to avoid lanolin, mineral oil (pariffinum liquidum - or something like that), and castor oil. Any -cones with PEG and then a number in front of them are fine, since they've gone through the PEG process, meaning they can now come out in water. Dimethicone copolyol is also water-soluble, so you can use that.

As for co-washes, many curlies like to use Suave or VO5 products since they're cheap and smell good. I reccommend Suave Fresh Berry Smoothie and VO5 Calming Chamomile Tea Therapy. For a daily conditioner, I like Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Original Formula (the white bottle, not the purple one. The Purple one, called Deeeeep, has cyclopentasiloxane in it). It has simethicone in it, but don't worry, it's not a bad cone, it's simply a preservative and comes out easily. Jessicurl Too Shea! or Aloeba are also fantastic. As for a gel, LA Looks Sport and LA Looks Durahold have lots of fans around here. A good leave-in could just be whatever your conditioner is or something like Re:Coil, Curls, or Curl Junkie products, to name a few. You'll have to look around on the product review boards.
