I'm sorry if I'm being a pain, but I'd love it if we could do a scientific poll regarding my hair type! Sorry if you've already answered my other thread about this - would you mind doing this poll too?

I voted for 3a, because I think it's slightly more curly that wavy, but I actually think it's between 2 and 3a. I don't think this typing system is adequate. I believe there is another category of loose/inconsistent curls between wavy and 3a. This is how I describe my hair. It's not wavy, because the curls do not lay flat and go side to side. But it's also not curly, because the curls flatten out and are not consistently shaped spirals.

I'd go with 2b, with a little 3a thrown in! :)

My vote is for 3a. Your curls look very similar to mine and I call mine 3a. :)

I said 2B, mostly. Your hair is similar to mine; as your hair gets longer, there is a good possiblity you could become a 3A. It looks great! :)

"Other". I think it looks wavy now but I also think it looks like it wants to spiral. Wavy hair does not spiral. 3a hair typically gets curlier as it gets longer so it might be that your hair is 3a but too short to completely show it.

3a. Why don't you try blowdrying it a bit w/ a diffuser. That way you can coax your curls into shape. I'm a very curly 3a, but I'd never get that way if I air dried.

Definately 2b. My hair is 3a with some 3b and my hair almost always curls into spirals and ringlets when it is wet. I would say more wavy but it could also be the length. Maybe if it was longer it would curl more into ringlets. :D

I voted the same way for the same reason. I predict that your hair will look more spirally as it gets longer.

I agree with corzcurlz try diffusing and then let us see pics. Your texture and length look a lot like mine but I have more spiral. I probably have more layers too. However, my hair can look so much better or different after I diffuse. So you might want to give it a try. I consider my hair 3a.

I agree with corzcurlz, gentle diffusing with a hotsock and gentle scrunching would coax more 3a.
