I need routine advice!

Hi there! My hair is driving me crazy. It's wavy, prone to a frizz/undefined fluffy waves. I'm open to changing my routine, products, anything.

1. Should I shampoo or not? I'm not really "curly" so I don't know if the totally CG method is for me. I've been shampooing once a week for a few months now, but with 2-3 different shampoos. Different shampoos don't really seem to change my hair much, probably because I only use them once a week.

2. If I do continue to shampoo once a week, how often should I CO wash? I wet my hair almost every day in the shower, so when I'm not shampooing/CO washing should I just comb through conditioner and rinse or what?

3. How about deep conditioning? I've been thinking of using olive oil or something mixed with conditioner once every 2 weeks or so. How does that work?

4. How long should a wavy plop? I have a microfiber turban I like to use. Should I apply my leave in conditioner before or after plopping? What about mousse/gel?

thanks for any advice
Have you tried going CG (even modified)? Cutting out or back on the shampoo should actually help your curls come to life. I'd try ditching it and remember it might take a couple of weeks to see any improvements.

I have to wet my hair everyday - second day hair is nonexistent for me. I either co-wash daily or just water rinse depending on what I used the day before. I take a wide-tooth comb and comb it through my hair when it's lathered in conditioner.

I don't do alot of deep conditioning . If I do, it's usually to mix honey with my conditioner and leave it on a little longer. I also do something I found on the Long Hair Community Board called an SMT (for the gal that came up with it). It's 1 part of your favorite conditioner, 1/4 part aloe vera gel (FOTE) and 1/4 part honey. You can even warm it in the microwave for a few seconds. Slather it on and let it work.

As for plopping time and products, that'll depend on your hair. On days I plop, I can't do it for too long. Some curlies apply products before plopping, some after. It just depends on what works best for you.

Hope this helps some !

Susan - go to Jessicurl and check out her videos, especially on "plunking" as she calls it there.
