Does it work well? Where did you get it? I am thinking about buying one, but not sure if a $30 or $40 one from Sally's would work or does it have to be an expensive, salon-quality one?

I bought the Ion Ionic hard bonnet dryer at Sally Beauty supply. Mine broke pretty quickly, so the front of it is lower than the back. I just kept is anyway and sit under it backward.

I have shoulder length hair, so it doesn't really get the lower part of hair dry, unless I'm under there for a really long time. It does dry the top pretty well.

I diffuse most of the time instead, but I bet if I had a really nice hood dryer, I would use it more.

I have the same one. It does dry the top very well, then I blast the bottom with a blow dryer. I would love a free-standing salon style hood dryer.
