Default Frizz and Flyaway

I've been having frizz and flyaway problems the past few days, I haven't tried any new products these days. The only thing I've done different is I've been adding conditioner to my gel. So I stopped doing that and just used gel and I still get some. The only other thing I can thing of is I am using TOO much gel, but I'm not sure, I try to vary the amount but I get scared I used too little and it'll frizz more. It's not A LOT of frizz but it's enough to bother me, it looks slightly better with it's dry (if that makes sense). Any ideas or tips on what to use? I have some olive oil but I'm not sure if that would be good to mix with my gel.

I don't really have a solution for you but I get the same thing. Esp. when my hair is wet, there are these little hairs that just poke out from the individual curls all over the place. If I run my hand lightly over the surface of my head I can feel them all poking out. It seems slightly better but not completely gone once my hair is dry. Hmmm... who knows?

Magoo: I see the same thing in my hair! There seem to be individual hairs that are almost "wiry," while the rest of my hair falls into actual curls. Is it just that those hairs are damaged? I pulled one of them out just to look at it, and it was incredibly coarse and wiry, whereas the rest of my hair is soft and smooth to the touch.

If it is damage, I wish I knew the products to fix the damage! Am kind of reluctant to try anything with a lot of protein, since I do seem to be sensitive to it (never knew so until I came to this site and read about the symptoms of protein overdose!). I've been using Jessicurl Weekly Deep Treatment, but while my hair feels incredibly soft afterwards, I'm not sure how much it's doing to address the damaged parts of my hair.

Oh well, the experiment/learning continues!

I also wonder if it's just the ends of hairs that have broken off.
I get a lot of tangling and sometimes end up tugging a bit in the shower when I'm combing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I'm not sure if it is damaged hair or not. Sometimes I don't get any at all. But when I do it's a real nuisance.
