curl refresher idea-high school reunion

so here is my latest discovery. i have been enjoying the results i get plopping my hair overnight when it is damp. so this weekend I had my high school reunion, starting fri evening early. I of course hiked all day friday. swam in the lake and got back home around 430. i was going to do my hair but it looked surprisingly good after the lake swim-it got wet and i did not put anything in it, just hiked back in a pineapple. I took a shower with my hair in a plopping turban and left it there till i got to the reunion around 7--hair looked great. then I stayed at the hotel, slept on it fri nite (pineapple) and went and hiked with some friends. when i got back I wet my hands and spread some GF CO on the canopy and then plopped while i took a power nap. it came out good for sat nite's big gala affair. then sunday morning it looked fine--i did nothing to it. so my big event i started w 2nd day hair. so vain, so vain...like anyone really cared about the subtleties like a few days in the life of a hairstyle.

To be honest I love your hair and listen intently every time you give advice.

Banjocurl, I was checking out your first album of older hair and had a good time. I still can't figure how curlies went thorugh what the did in the 60's and 70's to straighten!

Going through, I see that you and my Mother are the same age. I really wish my Mom could embrace her curls the same way that you have. I'd guess her at a 3A with a possibility of hitting 3B with some conditioning, she keeps it super short so that you don't see much curl, adn then she brushes it out. I should show her your album the next time I see her.

I'm glad your hair behaved itself for your reunion. ;) Did you have fun? They cancelled our last one. :(

thanks you all for the compliments..! i had LOADS of fun. the older we get, the more fun we have. the midnight toga party was quite OUT THERE too. i was up till 3am both nights. red celtic, i'd be happy to talk or email w your mom. i have to tell you tho that at my reunion, the straighties LOVED my hair. the other curlies were all thermally straightened or flatironed and had no interest in curly girl pride. too bad. my best compliment tho was from my straightie friend who told me my hair looked like "young girl hair". the only other unstraightened curly hair was pretty dry and frizzy, and looked old. thanks to nc.com and devachan!!

That's a shame no one else loved their curls there. :( I'm glad you rocked yours and showed them off! :D Glad you had fun too.
