Default About clarifying?

Do you clarify using a clarifying shampoo? Just regular sulfate poo? Or is it best use a homade concoction?
If you focus on the negative not only is that what you'll see, that's what you'll be.

If I needed it, and I did a couple of time at first CG, I'd just use a regular (preferably non sulphate)shampoo from the store. IMO, ACV and baking soda rinses don't remove cone buildup. Shampoo has surfactants that remove silicones and proteins from hair. You can find non sulphate shampoos, that would be gentler of your hair though. Burts Bees, California Baby, and I just saw one at Wild Oats that I can't remember the name of.

If I feel I need to clarify I only use 1tsp baking soda with warm water. It's just as good as shampoo

I use Elucence Volume Clarifying Shampoo. It's very mild and leaves my hair clean but not dried out. It has a sulfate, but way, way down on the list. I use it once every couple of months or if I happened to use something that didn't agree with my hair.

Generally I wash with Devacurl No-poo or VO5 tea therapy conditioner. My hair is fine and now in pretty good shape but every once in a while my hair gets whacked out and using this shampoo always solves the problem. I think everthing build up on my hair if I use it consistently.

It has great reviews and is only $6 from Curl Mart. I bought this last Oct and still have more than 1/2 a bottle left.

Would jessicurl hair cleansing cream be considered a clarifier as it has the betaine coco... stuf in it which is a mild sulf.....?
Hair type, thin, 3b, past my shoulders always looking for length. Use jessicurl hair cleansing cream, devacurl one c, angel, set it free, Always see a deva trained stylist for cut and Aveda Institute for color.

I use a regular shampoo. I don't like making things from scratch.
